My friend wants to marry a guy she is not in love with, because he is rich and could pay her university studies.
I advised her not to do this and promised her I could help her somehow. You know, the point is in our country women are not so well received on the labour market, especially if they don't have studies.
Is this ok what she wanna do...? Should I agree with her decision and support her?
What do you think about it?

every year i dont look forward to christmas at all i am a single mum with two kids boy 7 and girl 4 and i have no support from family at all there is always nothing under the tree untill the last minute when i have to buy from the two doller shop all my bills are past dew and is getting evicted after christmas i dont get to sleep much just wondering how will i ever get what my kids want a firend of mine who also has kids brags on about how much she spends on her kids and hey they get everyyhing which realy dosnt help the situation i need a miricle

Those of us who came from other country in recent years are not qualified to hold a public office even if we have the knowledge. We messed up with the life of many people simply because we don't have the confidence use our common sense other than folloing the formula which we are fed.

We can be attached and facilitate things but when it comes to decision making, we better leave it to the Americans. This is fact. Decision is not a simple thing where someone can play around. Its impact on human life is so enormous.

Because the way we interperate the general formula is not the same as how the Americans handle it.

A person like me who came from war torn or famine stricken nation or a person who came from over populated nation like china or India will not have the same feeling when we start living in a nation never experianced those things. I felt strange by not seeing those thing what I used to see in my country. What do you say if we truely leave the decision making process just for the Americans?

God doubted his own exsistence and wanted to see himself, so he decided to create water to reflect his image. He created water and looked upon it, but he did not see anything. If he can use them, is it our job to rebuke/correct them when they are off base? It sounds like he uses them because we might feel guilty for hurting feelings, but then when we don't we get drained.

Let's say thousands of years from now we have the technology to mass produce food in factories without any need for plants or animals. Would it matter then if we let all species besides humans go extinct? I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of all Gods/religions.

A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. A beautiful girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

"Because I'm not an atheist."

Then, asks the teacher, "What are you?"

"I'm a Christian."

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she is a Christian.

"Well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My mom is a Christian, and my dad is a Christian, so I am a Christian."

The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly.

"What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?"

She paused, and smiled. "Then," says Lucy, "I'd be an atheist."

why do Christians persecute homosexuals? What logial reason do they have?
1. "homosexuality is a sin"
well so what? Lying is a sin, too. According to your Bible, ALL sins are equal in God's eyes.
2. "They aren't human"
what? Yes they are. They simply have different beliefs than you, so you think you are better than them and persecute them. This is how the Holocaust started. Christians persecute the most people because they think they are "saved" and everyone else is going to Hell. Christians will eventually take over America and do an American Holocaust, killing all the people they don't like.
3. "Homosexuality is unnatural"
yes, and so is plastic and air conditioning.
c'mon people debate!

What would be proper etiquette? I'm a little old fashioned so I want to be sure I do this right. Do you speak with the lady's father first about marrying his daughter or do you propose & then go talk with the father? Been through one marriage & I want to do this one right from the beginning.

people have black pride, mexican pride, asian pride(like me), etc. but a kid got kicked out of our school for wearing a white pride shirt. i didn't think it was wrong. he's white and proud. some people are mexican and proud, why can't he be proud he's white?

The council are not interested and refuse to take any action. There is an irresponsible neighbour who puts out food for them daily. They swoop and fly around squawking day and night. They poop over the car, the washing, windows and us. Is there a humane and leagal way to cull these pests?

Do you consider yourself above other men/women when you disrespect them by running around naked, burning the flag or the Holy Book?
