Islam is the religion of Muslims and it means peace. The pillars of Islam are Faith in Allah, Praying, Fasting, Zakat (alms) and Haj (pilgrimage).

Muslims believe that there is no God but Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is his Messenger. He is the last Prophet- the seal of prophets. This is the basis of Faith in Islam. Allah is One and we don’t associate partners with him. He has no parent nor does he beget a child. He needs neither food nor sleep. He is the most supreme.

Muslims should pray 5 times a day remembering Allah. This is when Allah wants us to ask him help and guidance as well as ask for forgiveness.

Muslims should also fast 30 days a year to show that you can stay away from food, drink and sex for Allah. It is also to teach us to feel the pangs of hunger felt by the poor and starving. This will make us appreciate the blessings Allah has give n us.

Every year we have to give part of the profit from our investments to the poor and needy. This ensures the balance of wealth in society. It helps in getting rid of poverty.

Finally, if we have the means we have to perform Haj in the name of Allah along with our Muslim brothers and sisters.

Islam is the only religion which treats all human beings as equal. All Muslims are equal whether they are black or white, rich or poor, male or female, strong or weak, ruler or ruled. Also, Islam does not have intermediates the middleman between man and God. Allah listens to you always. In Islam, man is given freewill due to which he is held responsible for his actions. By using freewill to do good you can become greater than Angels.

The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. It is like our constitution. It gives us instructions on how to live life. We read it and try to understand it and live by it.

Lastly, Islam asks muslims to stay away from things like alcohol, smoking, premarital sex and pork as they pose a risk to the human body in some way.

Good question. If you think you know why do you ask, and what for ? Muslims themselves have so many different tribal law that they don't even know how they are seen in Christian, Boudhist and Hindouist countries.
Just juging from the answer they give on this Q&A. They are very naïve and they talk about things they ignore then they call it racism.
I am Catholic and lived in S.audi A.rabia for 12 years. So hurry to read this before it is deleted... by them.
Why don't they come in Pilgrimage here and stay in S.audi A.rabia for good. There is plenty of room here... some do stay here but why don't they all ... I think it's because they cannot get girl-friends here....or they will be be-headed or stone to death at the Mosq, on Fridays. Every friday, on their sacred day.

A Muslim is a human being who chooses to follow the Islamic path.
It isn't hard to answer that question but to the few people who have no respect for other religions and feel that a mockery can be made of them through their own ignorance, hatred or jealously should not even both to respond.
Have respect for yourself and for what you believe in and do the same for others.
Basically, if you have nothing good or positive to say about others, then say nothing at all.

It's amazing that so many people can and will kill, pillage, plunder, torture.....and actually die for a religion. There is just too much evidence to support that most of what these people grow hatred for is based on sh*t wrote by......drumroll, please......MEN. Not God or Gods or Allah or whatever the hell. And this isn't just the Muslims. Christians, also. I seem to remember a little thing about the crusades or something like that....let me see.....Catholics killing and torturing....what's that word again....oh, yeah.....infidels. The Muslim religion started about 2K years ago and is based upon the teachings of Mohamed. Mohamed was sent visions by god, who told him how he expected his followers to behave.
