Don't you all just love the crazed people who sit here and all they do is try to run our name down just because we're American? I mean my gosh if they're so against us why don't they just join their military or government or something and actually do something instead of sitting on their butt all day typing infront of a computer? I know it's childish and even more childish for me to sit here and name them out when I should just ignore it. But it just blows my mind how people think they can make a difference in the world over YahooAnswers.

I keep seeing this in people's answers and, although I hesitate to squander 10 precious points on asking what will probably turn out to be a dumb question, it's driving me nuts!

I'm from the US, and I've been reading a little about Hinduism lately. If I understand correctly, according to Hinduism, a person goes through a potentially endless cycle of rebirth until he attains enough good karma to reach moksha, or unity with Brahman. However, once you reach moksha, are you conscious of it? If not, then why would anyone want to reach moksha? After all, no one wants to die, and in that case, reincarnation doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me. Can anyone explain this to me?

Then why are people who are Christians saying that their faith is the only faith? Why aren't you Jewish like Jesus? You want to be like Jesus right? But you don't want to be the same religion as he was? I don't get it.

Given that we know Santa claus has a wife...Mrs Claus. why are there no little Santas helping him on his once yearly round of the world.
Surely there would have been the pattering of tiny feet by now. Given that Santa works but once a year (his elves do it for the other 364 days) and the north Pole is cold and there cannot be much else to do there....other than prod Mrs Claus.

Begs the question.....is Santa infertile!

wear symbols of your faith such as a pentacle in everyday life? If so, when people ask what it is/stands for, what do you tell them? Are you open about your beliefs when people ask or do you prefer to keep it to yourself?

British Prime Minister Tony Blair raised the subject of reported harassment of Kazakh Hindus, including demolition of Hindu homes, with the Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev during a meeting here. According to Hindu groups based in Britain, 60 riot police and bull dozers assembled inside a Hindu temple in Kazakhstan and demolished five Hindu houses on Tuesday. The Kazakh government was also allegedly planning to bulldoze a Hindu temple on Wednesday in the Karasai district. Hindus in the Karasai district have had land, barns and cows confiscated, have been threatened with demolition of their houses, and denied the right to own land. Hindus who applied for ownership of their houses were asked to declare that they were not Hindus, while non-Hindus who made similar applications were immediately granted ownership rights. The Kazakh Supreme Court reviewed two cases regarding Hindu cottages and ruled against the Hindus without inviting the plaintiffs to the hearings.

Why are the Hindus treated like this in Kazakhastan?
Why should Mr Blair not support this cause, after all he wishes peaceful religious practices in the UK too?

I dont know too much about the origins of humans worshiping a deity/god whatever. I am wondering if all the mainstream religions (Christianity, Buddism, Hinduism, Muslim etc..) originally came from one religion. It always takes a seed to create a branch and it always takes a branch to make more branches. I will conduct my research soon when I have the time, but I would like a quick answer if possible. I am not anti-Christian but I am attempting to argue with this fundamentalist rightwinged Christian I work with. I in fact love what the man Jesus Christ stands for, but I am trying to point out that Christianity is not the answer of answers.

My office decided to have an outreach center pick a large family from there angel tree, well there are 3 adults and 9 children, 3 of the children are 2 years old, and 2 are 1 years old, one of the adults is 74, so obviously there is a lot of irresponsibility in this family, i'm sorry i just had to get that out, anyway i only have $470.00 for this family so far, how can i get this shopping accomplished? one of the adults wants a tv and a trac phone, and another one wants a playstation and games, i don't see this happening, i think i should worry about the poor children first, any suggestions?

anyone who says they are celebrating the birth of their savior isnt realizing that dec. 25th is not jesus's birthday it was a pagan holiday that the church made into christmas so everyone would celibrate a christian holiday instead of a pagan holiday. christmas is based on a lie and lying is a sin so how could christians follow this

...would I have enough to spread on a cracker?
--Let me explain: I commute to work every morning, and before heading to my office, I stop at the station snackbar to buy a couple of donuts. Today (for the second time this year) I bought my donuts and headed for work, leaving my wallet on the counter. Luckily, the folks running the snackbar spotted my wallet and kept it safe for me.
Here's the real question:
Is this incident a sign of impending senility, or just an overwhelming preoccupation with donuts?
Thanks for any thoughts you may have.

If you are against stem cell research, are you also against in vitro fertilization?

Why or why not?

It seems to me that there is not nearly as much controversy over IV fertilization, but stem cell research is a hot issue. I fail to see the reasoning behind this.
