Would it offend you if he or she decided to use public funds to decorate the White House for Chanukah, but not Christmas?

Would it matter that Christmas is a federal holiday with secular aspects and Chanukah is not?

(Just curious. I personally would prefer that public funds not be used to celebrate any religious holiday, even if it is a federal holiday. Private, voluntary donations could be solicited to pay for such things.)

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean living"
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Only vote yes if you oppose abortion, war, and the death penalty.

If you vote yes because you are against abortion but support war or the death penalty the you are a HYPOCRITE!!!!!

I wished they would consider re-marrying? And why not? I think the British parparazzi's were very judgemental towards Sarah and did not give her a chance. I think she was great with Andrew. What's your thought?

Senior Officers Accused Of Coercing Soldiers To Adopt Evangelical Christianity...
Reuters | December 12, 2006 08:37 AM

A watchdog group that promotes religious freedom in the U.S. military accused senior officers on Monday using their rank and influence to coerce soldiers and airmen into adopting evangelical Christianity.

Such proselytizing, according to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, has created a core of "radical" Christians within the U.S. armed forces and Pentagon who punish those who do not accept evangelical beliefs by stalling their careers.

Exist.
So, my question is this since you believe he does exist;
Can you prove he exists? Can you prove hell exists?
Because to date, there isn't a single solitary shred of credible evidence to support the existence of either.
But hey, if you have proof, that would be great! Just imagine the number of people you'd save!
Think of all of them coming to church, their pockets full and ready to empty into the collection plate...
Go ahead, prove it to me.
(oh an don't try the old "well you can't prove he doesn't exist" because that just shows your ignorance. You can't disprove a negative. The burden of proof is on YOU, to prove he exists, not on me to prove he doesn't)

Now I say this: Why would adolescents be involved in the New Age movement? Since this is adolescence we are dealing with, we tend to "hide" the New Age rom our children and thus a mystery to some. Those who "support" the New Age" are adult-oriented while those who "oppose" the New Age are elite-oriented. Simply put, if one is accustomed to the New Age or any fantasy world, he/she would fantasize about reality, hence the parardox of the New Age. Denying the New Age would be like denying a popular city that only adults would know, and yes, the New Age is a "religion" that only adults know since the content requires immense maturity. Any response to this question would count as a best answer. Thank you.

No right or wrong answers here - I'm just wondering:

1) Are you a creationists (in the sense of the word that you believe humans did not evolve from other primates)?

2) Are you pro-life or pro-choice when it comes to the issue of abortion?

Thank you

I've never had a serious boyfriend around the holidays. I've gotten him a few practical gifts, but I want to get him something really thoughtful and sentimental...but not too totally cheesey.
