I see so many questions to Muslims, Mormons, Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses, Atheists and others that people who obviously know nothing about that faith try to answer a question. When people ask a question (genuinely), it may be me but I think they are looking for an answer from somebody who knows --- not somebody who says "I think ..." or "I heard ..."

I don't know much about every religion but I can see how many answers are way off, why can't people keep their ignorance to themselves?

"Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. ... If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. ... If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?" (Epicurus, as quoted in 2000 Years of Disbelief)

I'm sorry if this sound incredibly stupid, as I really would like to know. I'm in the deep, deep South and we don't exactly have a large Jewish community here. If 'Jew' is in fact unacceptable, what would be the proper way to speak of jewish people? Or is that it -- 'Jewish people/person?'
Again, I'm not trying to be an *** and I apologize if this comes across that way. I'm confused about the whole thing as I've heard Jew used in non-negative and negative ways. Thank you so much.

The layers of the earth are one color and composition for so much depth, then suddenly another for so much depth, then suddenly another. As has often been observed, these layers may be global in scope.

What happened to the soil that it suddenly changes composition over and over and over with almost zero transition?

A frail, fragile, waiflike, defenseless baby factory with no sense of self esteem or self respect and no chance of surviving on my own. To be worshipped and kept in whatever manner my husband sees fit, mindlessly acknowledging my inherent fault for being born a daughter of Eve and bringing sin into this world by virtue of my very existence--My sisters in Christ, don't you agree?

If someone came on here, not knowing their race, said "I'm proud to be a person of color". I'm sure a lot would assume a black person however this could also refere to other ethnicity such as Native American, Asian, Mexican etc etc. So this statement would make no sense. Unless this person was just proud they were not white. So when someone says "I'm proud to be white", it doesn't really make sense. Unless they're only proud that their skin is white. So if white people mean this statement in terms of their heritage why do they not share their heritage?
I do understand some may not know their heritage but I'm betting a lot do so why not be proud of that?

I'm proud to be Dutch/German American.

I mean sense the governments have persecuted Jews and Christians sense ancient times wouldn't it be best to say that government has been the enemy of God? As far as "Republican" or "Democrat" is concerned: I see that the bible seems to be for and against curtain things we see today when you compare the two. When you relate things such as "Compassion" Its easy to see that alot of Democrats are very compassionate people. Then on the other side You see the "Holier than thou" side of things. I see how alot of Religious people tend to vote Republican. But I'm not 100% sure that this is the best thing to do! Alot of Democrats have been falsely accused of things such as: wanting to remove religion completely! Thats FALSE! All people are equal and should have equal rights. I suggest that people look harder into politics before voting based on "tradition". I'm not saying either party is good or bad. But I think it is wise to vote based on facts and not on tradition, or what others tell you!

This woman, although she has never accepted the Lord as her savior, and has been law -abiding, friendly, will in all likelihood not go to heaven. The serial rapist on the other hand, who has broken every commandment, accepts the Lord as his savior just before his execution, and ends up in heaven. Please explain.

I don't personally wear my pants this way, but to say its of the devil is overboard in my opinion. I think it all starts from people seeing famous people such as rap artists that do it and they want to act and be more like them. I enjoy attending church, but sometimes I disagree when things of this nature are said, when something is of the devil I think of it as something that is harmful to someone, I don't see this as harmful. What are your thoughts?

me getting a gift card for my brother as a 2nd Christmas gift. He says it's inconvenient and small. I'm so irritated by him. It's my choice isn't it? Anyways, is a gift card that bad? It seems to be popular this year. Guess my dad is so traditional.
