As far as what I particularly believe, I believe it's a mystery who's answer we don't get to know.
I do believe that it is possible for ancestors to watch over the living and help protect and guide them.
I also don't believe that life stops exhisting at death.
An interesting take on the traditional reincarnation theory that my friend has is that when you die your spirit returns to the source of life and from there life comes forth. It's interesting because in this case the answer is yes and no. A person is distinct and becomes a part of the whole, than a part of the whole becomes distinct and to say how much of that is the person is not possible.

I strongly believe in life after death, however it is in the biblical sense only. There are times I have felt like I had been somewhere or met someone at another time,. so I think it is a possibility that we inherit some of our families past, I feel like maybe I have been here before, but I also believe we pick up the unfinished business of family which makes us feel this way.

Hello Ashley,
If you are a true Christian then there is no death. God created us to have life and that life is to continue with Him into eternity.
Death is a name for Satan. God's Saviour, Jesus Christ defeated death on that Passover Day at Calvary's Hill. Once and for all time.
We were with God before He put us in the womb of our mothers at conception. We exist to please God. We please God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. From that point, we become a new creation in Him and have eternal life.
Those that do not accept Jesus Christ as Lord have made their choice and they are given over to Satan and his to have their way with them. Their life will come to an end if their names are not in the Lamb's Book of Life when read during the White Throne Judgment. It is their choice to follow Satan their lord into the Lake of Fire.
As being something different before we were born?
What like a cat or dog or some other animal? You know the answer to that.><>

I believe we live many lives here, learning more each life, gaining in wisdom and mastering more and more. Our basic essence remains between one life to the next but we aren't exactly the same person because we incarnate to learn new things each time. Even those who don't believe in reincarnation will begin speaking of past lives if they let down their shields and listen to their memories. Several psychologists who did not believe in reincarnation now have books published on the topic after being convinced seeing so many patients relive experiences from past times.

If you mean Heaven or Hell, I believe in eternal life after death. I believe that if you are a Christian that has been saved, you are going to heaven but if not you are going the other way----down. No, I dont believe I was a different person in another life.

I believe our soul is a energy and when we die our 'energy' is released and finds a baby in the womb. So in a way this is reincarnation. I dont believe in a ultimate God and i believe there is no purpose to life, or the purpose of life is to realize there is no purpose, at which all our souls(energy) will be realised by those who let their body realise the energy. To answer ur question i believ in you where someone else before you where u.

Yes I do believe. I am a priestess of the Great Goddess, Isis, and in my religion we believe that when we die we go to the West and live under Her protection and peace. We only live here once.
