There were four blind men who came across an elephant. the first, feeling the side of teh elephant, declared "Ah, this is a wall". The second, feeling the trunk, declared "Ah, this is s snake." The third, feeling the tail, delcared "Ah, this is a rope". the fourth, feeling the leg, declared "Ah, this is a tree".
Because none of them could truly see, all of them were correct in as far as their experiece could take them, but incorrect in the ultimate reality.

You've got to do your own homework. This such a huge question, it would take volumes to go into detail.
However, basically, if you believe there is a God, then you are open to interpreting your experience as god-related.
If you are atheistic, then you would interpret your experience as based on nature.
