Really? I mean you see a few rude ones, and it's like you base your whole opinions on them. I'm really sick of it, and I'm from Britian. Americans have done so much for the world without ever asking for anything back. Why do you think so many people move there? It's a beautiful country, and very diverse. It really drives me crasy when I hear all this bull**** about how arrogant Americans(and Canadians are) Us Europians think we're so high and mighty. Sure America has it's faults. What country doesn't? I hear more crap about them from the people who have never even met one of them in their life. How would you even know? What would happen if everyone judged us brits after they took a trip to London. One of the most unfriendliest cities I've ever been to! Just last year, America's biggest city, NEW YORK, was voted the most polite city...in the world. Why don't you really think about it before you make your judgements on other people.

You hear black or brown pride, you aplaud them. You hear white pride, and you frown upon them for being racist. On what grounds is it acceptable for a person to have pride in themselves? Is it color or race? I personally disapprove of boasting about your race or ethnicity. To be proud of something, you first must earn it. Even if you have something to boast about, what did race ever have to do with it?

As you may see, I am myself a minority.

Christianity is the only religion I know of in which its members are all sinners, and the only one that believes that their sins will somehow be forgiven by some ancient execution.
Sin is not "missing the mark" as some people here believe: the bible makes it clear that sin is an abomination, and must be atoned by sacrificing bullocks (old testament) or a human (new testament). Jesus made it clear that sin is a choice and not something unavoidable: "Go and sin no more".

When I ask people why certain things like working on the sabbath and women talking in church are okay then they tell me that those are outdated rules that no longer apply, but when I ask why things like homosexuality are wrong they tell me it's because the bible says so and the bible is the word of God... how do I know which rules to follow and which ones are outdated? If God is infallable then how can his word be "outdated"? If the bible was written by humans and not by god (in which case it's possible for it to be outdated) then why should we follow its word?

I work with a majority of Hispanics and most of them are very sweet. I have noticed that they are are reserved at first, I guess they don't know how we'll act towards them?I have worked with one guy for about the past 8 months and him and I have become really good friends, despite our language barrier. I can speak more Spanish than he does English and we both converse and teach each other our language. He tells me that I am his best "amiga" and that he hopes we are friends forever. He also will say stuff like "sexy" or "bonita" or "tienes novio? porque..tu eres muy bonita" which I just take as joking. A lot of the people I work with figure why bother to try and communicate with them and do not even give them the time of day. Do you think they appreciate an effort in getting to know them and communicating and that's why he tells me I am his best "amiga" or is it just a cultural difference? I know I appreciate it when they speak English.

when i was cleaning the house one day, i ran upon 3 porno dvd's that my boyfriend bought sometime ago. when commenting to him that i found them and why he had those versions specifically he replied(very defensively) that there was a special on them and he didnt realize what it was until after a nonrefundable purchase(and he thought he should mention that he wasnt gay even though i hadnt). well i let it go until we got into an argument that resulted in me putting him out with his belongings; and again i ran upon the rest of his porn dvd's(his whole collection)that was only this shemale type porn(men surgically altered to look like a female every where except the private area). Should i be concerned about his sexual orientation now? Cause he wants to get back with me.

Based on old testament practices Jews slaughtered animals to rid themselves of sin. The high priest would go into the temple and behind the veil into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle blood on the ark of the covenant. Today no one knows where the ark of the covenant is and the temple is not under Jewish control. Christians believe that after the Christ died sacrifices were no longer nessecary because the Messiah had come. But the Jews don't beleive Christ is the Messiah. They are still waiting, so what do they do to absolve sin now?

I think it's a good thing. It's terrible to deny a woman motherhood just because she hasn't found the right man. She should be able to make her choice instead of being at the mercy of men who judge her as not pretty enough or thin enough or the right religion to marry. If you follow this link, this article even says that children raised by stable single mothers fare better than children raised in unstable marriages.

As one of those women who isn't pretty enough or think enough or the right religion to get married, I applaud the women who are taking control of their reproductive futures instead of waiting for some amorphous husband to arrive on the scene.
