I love all people and hope that they might be saved, but I certainly don't trust them all.

There has to be some amount of trust among people in order for there to be a healthy love. What amount depends on your strength. Not having trust and little reason to trust will cost you a lot to continue to love.

Yes. Trust is something that you should share with those you love but just because it's the right thing to do , doesn't mean that you will. We can love those that hurt us or don't even love us. Love is more than you can even imagine or that can be completely explained. However, you can tell your mind what to think but you can't tell your heart who to love, even if you don't want to. Love is a double-edged sword. It heals and overwhelms but it also hurts and destroys.

Without trust, one can’t experience where love goes, and so is left behind, but one could experience a “healthy” superficial love.

I don't think you can love as fully, but God loves us and he knows we mess up all the time no matter how hard we try.
