I was in line at a Rite Aid last week in LA. The cashier spoke Spanish to everyone in front of me, but when I (blond, non-hispanic) politely started speaking Spanish to her, she responded in English. I am fluent in Spanish and I love speaking it. Why does this happen?

My brother works both saturdays and sundays now at Taco Bell... I thought that it would please the lord for me to kill him but I see now that Jesus told us that's not okay. But Jesus also said "If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for yoour whole body to go into hell" - Matthew 5:29-30

So should Ronnie (my brother) cut off his Taco making hands... or do Old Testament sins not count?

I work in customer service within a professional environment. This means that it's my JOB to be NICE to people, regardless of whether I actually like them or not. However, sometimes men perceive this as an invitation to hit on me. I don't have a boyfriend and am not interested in meeting men at work, so how do I tell them in a courteous manner that I don't appreciate their attempts??? I am shocked at the number of old men who do this!!!!!

and why? Keep in mind, they will get whammed with Holy Spirit and have to come here apologizing cuz their new heart is SO totally convicted for bad mouthing G-d!! LOL

And "its up to G-d not me" isnt an answer. Just say G-d asked you to pick one person, for arguments sake.


I would go for the "Athiest to Ban Christianity" old dude with the beard, cuz he isnults us so much then asks why he is not treated with the utmost respect. He has a masters in science and HATES 1corinthians1 quotes! LOL

I'm a bartender and for some reason (probably because they're intoxicated) people seem to lose any ounce of politeness they had before they walked in the door. I've been cussed at, called names and threatened over the years... usually because I didn't make their drink as strong as they wanted or because I charged them the actual price of a drink. Then how can muslims say that a women & men are equal. Other than pious homilies about women why does not Islam give equal benefit to women in areas where it will REALLY help them.

I am aware the half inheritance rights given to muslim women were far ahead their time when originally given. However now when even the lesser developed countries have given women equal inheritance rights, the rights of muslim women are far behind the times. Is is not time to change.
