....would their families be Jews? I'm curious that if the first people who called themselves Christians could have traced their families back to pre-Jesus times, what religion would they have been?

Since the first Christians were Jews, I would assume they observed Judaism.

They would go all the way back to the time of Noah and the Ark. We all come from one of 3 of Noah's sons. Ham, Shem and Japheth. All the world's population goes back to these three families. However, these 3 families did not all lead to the jewish line. That did not come until later at the time of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jacob's sons became the Hebrews and then later Israel. If memory serves.

Well, Christianity is a choice, not a race, so tracing back really doesn't work that way. But the faith can be traced back to Abraham, who is thought to be the first to recognize one sovereign god. The race is Hebrew or Jewish, but as for the faith, we could call them Jewish, I guess.

That's false, because christianity was spread to people who weren't jews. A christian in china wouldn't trace his/her lineage back to a jew.
