Do any of these activist spouting off how bad smoking is know how many known carcinogens are in automobile and truck exhaust? Is that next? Anyone know if any studies have been done?

Here in switzerland they celebrate Santa Day on the 6th December, I used to follow the 12 days before & 12 days after rule, but am so excited this year I can't wait.

In Matt 7:21 - 23 it says that those who do not do the Father's will will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So it is important to know what is the Father's will here. The answer is found in John 6:27-29 where Jesus encouraged His listeners to labour for food which endures to everlasting life. So they asked Him what they must they do. Jesus then said, 'This is the work (will) of God that you believe in Him whom He sent.' This can be confirmed with John 3:16 which says that whoever believes in him shall have everlasting life. So the will of the Father in Matt 7:21 is we believe in Jesus. Matt 7:23 confirms that those not qualify for heaven are unbelievers because Jesus said, 'I NEVER knew you.' This scripture has been incorrectly used to disprove 'one saved always saved.' I appreciate your view on this.

do you think shops should open on boxing day?
i personally think if people cant buy for the one day it closed (xmas day), then they are stupid, they should make sure they have enough bread,butter, essentials etc, but they dont, when i worked last year we had all the tills open and were very busy, why cant people stock up for two days? is it really that hard

i dont think any shop should be allowed to open

and bless the people who have to work (hospitals etc), they are the kindest people in the world, i just mean consumer goods before anyone starts abusing me :)

I you do research you will find the many laws that were instated and then taken away.

One pope made a 'rule' that all babies(that died) that wasnt baptisted will go to hell. Now its not so.

Gays werent allowed to get married.Now lot of gays get married in church.(coz God loves everyone)even tho its against God's law.

I made a new friend and I am pretty sure that soon he's going to tell me that he is blind in one eye. He tells all his friends, but the thing is that I already know. Someone leaked it out. So how do I respond when he tells me this? What is the proper etiquette?

are we just recycling for the hell of it? are all our cans/bottles and newspapers just being thrown out anyway? do we sort and seperate all our recyclables for nothing?

i've heard that it costs the sanition companies more $$ to truck
the recylables to the recycling facitilies, so they just pay the landfills to take it like its regular trash.

i hope this is not true.

On the news a few days ago, there is someone who has to be sworn into office, in the US. The US Constitutional ceremony includes being sworn in with the Bible. It has always been this way for everyone, since the beginning.
This politician does NOT want to use the Bible. He wants to use the Quaran.
I realize there are cons and pros, as arguments whether for it, or against it. Washington is not in agreement with his wishes.
My question is, as an American, how do you feel about this?
PLEASE...no religion bashing answers! I want only your opinions based on what you believe to be the right thing to do..
