Why do you think that have to give her something different from the one you would give to another common neighbord??
From the begining you are making discrimination,
If she is a woman, we woman all around the world like the same things or almost.
Dont buy anything for the house or for the kitchen. She is the one that take care of ur kids, so buy something for her.
may be a nice foulard (scarf), or if you know her well, a nice perfum,........winter is coming, so a sweater could be good idea. It depends on how much u want to pay for her gift

Something that she needs and can't find where she lives. I think she might like some accessory or a scarf. I think they like somewhat colourful things but you still know her better than I do. How old is she?
I don't know if she is a Muslim, it's not a rule to be a Muslim if you are an Arab, but if she is a Muslim I don't think she would mind something religious. It will only show her that you respect her religion and accepts it. A Christian friend gave us Koran once, we gave another Christian friend a picture of a saint. It's nice really. But if she is a Muslim she would already ahve Koran so you may just get her something a girl or a woman would like, like I said before. Something special.

That's funny that people think if someone is a muslim that they must want something religious!! Most people from any religion, don't want a gift that has to do with their religion.
It depends on her age, if she's a teen or in her twenties, then get her a gift card to a department store near where you live.
If she's older, then there are several things you can do for her: get her a beautiful serving dish and put some baked goods on it and tell her that the serving dish is for her to keep and the sweets are to show her how sweet you think she is.
Hope that helps,
;o)

don't do any attempt at religious stuff unless you guys are pretty close and have a good understanding of all that. it might seem patronizing.
plants are great but generic, food is pretty okay but at Xmas aren't we all getting a ton of sweet food?
what about taking her and her spouse/partner out to dinner? i'm sure she will appreciate a gift of time and friendship more than only a physical or monetary gift anyway.
and this can (should) be any time, not just during the holidays.

If she is from Morocco, she is Moroccan. If she were from Arabia, she would be an Arab. Arabic is the language of Arabia, and other parts of Asia and Africa, and the language used in Muslim religious services.
If you could find some gourmet quality couscous or fancy dates, I'm sure she would appreciate the thought.

Give the same kind of gift you'd give to a good neighbor from Kansas.

Dates or couscous was a great idea. Make a cake or plate of cookies, etc. Include the recipie, and tell them they can keep the dish.
