Well have you heard that the when you see someone that the first impression is what pretty much sets your mind whether or not you want to get to know that person. People that got tattoos back in the 40's & 50's were pretty much associated with criminals, gangs, motorcycle clubs and people in the military and so even to this day especially with the older generation they still view tattoos as being bad. Tattoos back then were an expression of ones self, today most tattoos are a fashion piece instead of expressing of ones self. Within the last couple of years depending on where one works tattoos have to be covered in the work place especially in a professional settings like hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, motels...etc.

I think there's nothing wrong with tattoos, but some people just can't get with the times. I have a small tat on my arm that only shows if I wear short sleeves. A few months ago, I was on a job interview to work for a large name clothing comany. The woman interviewing me was a stuck up snot right from the beginning. I started feeling sweaty in her office, so I just pushed my sleeves up with out thinking. She immediately started staring down my small caricature tattoo that actually translates to the word "peace". She was OBVIOUSLY having a problem with it. Needless to say, I was not offered the job and I was completely qualified to run her stupid little store. I was dressed fine and looked professional. It actually makes me mad and feeling like I was discriminated against for something most people do now a days! ....Her loss!!!!

Nothing is bad about tattoos i have three of them they are in places where if i had to look professional i can and if i wanted to show them off i can. If you have to many that could look bad if there not in some kind of theme. Also if you just get a tattoo just because it looks cool and you don't know the real meaning behind it then that's also bad. Tattoo are forms of art and all of them have a meaning to them.

I've got tattoos on my back, arms and legs, in such a way that I can wear a t-shirt and shorts without drawing much attention to them, which is how I like it. What an adult does with his or her body in the form of tattoos is his business. Though tats started out on sailors and convicts, it has evolved into a means of art and expression, like practically everything else on Earth has evolved in the 21st century. Anyone who thinks badly about it is living a very cloistered lifestyle, and needs to become exposed to life and keep up with the times. Or else they must be too dumb to know one thing from another.

This has gotta be a tough subject count in case you do not have faith that. a lot of people think of you're marking up your physique and the property you go with, you probable won't like further down the line and additionally you will finally end up regretting it. some non secular communities think of this is undesirable because of the fact your physique is a conserving place for God and additionally you're choosing to mark it up. Others additionally think of tattoos are available for HIV and different bloodborn ailments. this is form of stretching it, and that i in my opinion love them, yet with a bit of luck that enables somewhat. reliable success.

I guess it really depends on who has them. If you are talking about the girl/boy next door you don't think criminal anymore, but, when you see a big hulking guy with tattoos he may make ya think criminal. But they are not really taboo any more, everyone has them, even Christians.
