I do not mean atheistic individuals but tribes, kingdoms, entire civilizations that thrived without a god or gods of some kind and fluorished enough to leave some trace of their existence. Just curious.

I am constantly astonished at how white people are afraid to look at black people, and at times I will speak just to see if they will speak back. It rarely happens, and these will be the same people in church on Sunday morning, thinking that they are going to heaven with that atitude.

i am a 32 yr old who was raised in a strict apostlic church. i have always been taught that remarrying is a sin. i was married at 19 yr of age found out my husband was having an affair and seperated. I did try and reconcile but never got over the instance. i met a man who for the last 5 years has helped me to raise my children from my astranged husband and we have a child together. i am so affraid to divorce and because I know I will remarry and I was taught that i would spend eternity in hell. i truly love this man and i know he loves me. like all couples where not with out our problems but i feel, know he loves me. at the same time this teachng is so embedded in me that i can't clearly make my own decision. I fell brainwashed sometimes. Just want to know your take and has anyone been a simular situation?

if god can't forget then he is not omnipotent and if he can forget then he is not omniscient

don't say that he could forget if he wanted to but chooses not to - because in that case he could never rule out the possibility that he did indeed once choose to forget something - its just that he now cannot remember it.

doesnt this mean it is not possible for a being to be both omnipotent and omniscient

are these good reasons not to believe in the christian god. Why should i believe him to be omnipotent and omniscient - when it is clearly impossible for him to be both?

i saw a few too many rude comments by christians who didnt have the answer. his question is quite valid. he wants texts outside the bible that prove jesus existed. im sure those who executed him would have documented something.

so the question is, please name the texts and authors outside of the bible, that talk about jesus?

Was Mary's egg fertilised literally by God's sperm? (would assume he only needed one as he is omnipotent... lol)

Why is race a issue in this country? On standardized tests why do they need to know what race you are? On college applications?
Why are there minority quotas for state colleges?
Why does it seem that most people think that blacks were the only slaves?
Why does the US goverment ow the Native American people anything? Every race ever has been conquered and lost land, why should they recive special treatment?
