i saw a few too many rude comments by christians who didnt have the answer. his question is quite valid. he wants texts outside the bible that prove jesus existed. im sure those who executed him would have documented something.

so the question is, please name the texts and authors outside of the bible, that talk about jesus?

Agian, since I don't know of any other than Holy Blood, Holy Grail, I'd suggest he study up on Roman history as a start.

iblis received dozens of great answers... but he hasn't yet posted add'l details, to say wether-or-not he could even bring himself to research information given to him.

Although I do not know the answer to your question, I do think it is a very valid question. For all we know the bible could be a fictional book. Where is the proof? And by the way, I am Christian, but I myself have wondered at times or thought that Christianity may not be the way, someone has yet to prove to me that any of it is true. So, yes, I would like to see some proof or documents outside from the bible to prove Jesus' existence. Thanks for posting a great question.

Every bit of history is based on eyewitness accounts right.
We believe the shootout at the OK corral happened due to eyewitness,s

The same with evey scandal or even every book written it's based on eyewitness accounts.

The gnostic gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are based on eyewitness accounts.

So here's my question why do people believe other parts of history based on eye witness accounts but they don't believe the life of Jesus which is based on eye witness accounts.

the proof as with anything is based on witness's which Jeus had, they wrote it all down yet atheists disbelieve it but believe other non religious eyewitness accounts of various things. Why?

There are a few.

Although Celsus, a late second-century critic of Christianity, accused Jesus of being a bastard child and a sorcerer, he never questions Jesus' historicity even though he hated Christianity and Jesus. He is quoted as saying that Jesus was a "mere man".

Ok.....just a thought here. I don't know anything about the satanic bible.....but it seems to me that there would be a chance that Jesus is mentioned there. Don't get mad! It is just an idea.

Why don't you get off of your lazy butt and research this yourself. I answered his question but it is never enough to do so because he and you have made up your mind to disbelieve. Go ahead and lie in you unbelief.
