and mostly likely one of our local volunteers will respond. My name is Al and I live in North Pole, Alaska. Yes, there really is city called "North Pole", it is 4 square miles in size and has it's own police & fire department, mayor, city council, EVERYTHING!
Most importantly, we have the Santa Claus House where they get thousands upon thousands of letters to Santa Claus every year and hundreds of volunteers reply to them and send them back with the North Pole postmark on them.
Another thing you can do is go to:

the home page tells you exactly how to get a letter (with or without a picture) from Santa and that they have sent over 1 million letters to children all over the world. You can also buy other items sold from the store. It's great.

Take your kids letter and write or type a response from Santa Claus.. then destroy the evidence (kids letter)
-- Place Santa's response in a stamped envelope addressed to the child,
and be sure to include the North Pole as the return address.
-- Place this envelope into a larger, properly stamped, First-Class
Mail or Priority Mail envelope and mail it to:
North Pole Christmas Cancellation
Postmaster
5400 Mail Trail
Fairbanks AK 99709-9998
It will be postmarked NORTH POLE.
