if not can you comment on some or all of the following:

-we have very effective means of killing ourselfs (nuclear, biological etc) and have come very close to doing so at least twice (Cuba and Pakistan)

-We don't really care about our planet (global warming, deforestation etc) -

We are very intolerant of others (religious extremisms, racism etc

God(s) have been a part of many cultures since cultures have been recorded. Was the arguement more convincing then? Were people dumber back then? What reason did they have to believe?

These days a majority of religous people are raised that way and just accept it, but at one point it wasn't and then people started believing......Why?

Kill those who are not Christian or Jewish:

You must kill those who worship another god. Exodus 22:20

Kill any friends or family that worship a god that is different than your own. Deuteronomy 13:6-10

Kill all the inhabitants of any city where you find people that worship differently than you. Deuteronomy 13:12-16

Kill everyone who has religious views that are different than your own. Deuteronomy 17:2-7

Kill anyone who refuses to listen to a priest. Deuteronomy 17:12-13

Kill any false prophets. Deuteronomy 18:20

Any city that doesn’t receive the followers of Jesus will be destroyed in a manner even more savage than that of Sodom and Gomorrah. Mark 6:11

Jude reminds us that God destroys those who don’t believe in him. Jude 5

Ignorance is bliss. Christians should not practice free inquiry nor socialize with non Christians:

Don’t associate with non-Christians. Don’t receive them into your house or even exchange greeting with them. 2 John 1:10

Shun those who disagree with your religious views. Romans 16:17

Paul, knowing that their faith would crumble if subjected to free and critical inquiry, tells his followers to avoid philosophy. Colossians 2:8

Judge other religions for not following Christ:

Whoever denies “that Jesus is the Christ” is a liar and an anti-Christ. 1 John 2:22

Christians are “of God;” everyone else is wicked. 1 John 5:19

The non-Christian is “a deceiver and an anti-Christ” 2 John 1:7

Anyone who doesn’t share Paul’s beliefs has “an evil heart.” Hebrews 3:12

False Jews are members of “the synagogue of Satan.” Revelations 2:9, 3:9

Here are my two personal favorites:

Everyone will have to worship Jesus -- whether they want to or not. Philippians 2:10

A Christian can not be accused of any wrongdoing. Romans 8:33

This isn't a racist thing, its just a comedic observation i've made.

When recently at my gym, I asked a Chinese guy to spot for me - he obliged but it was the constant grinning that freaked me out, I've seen this in Chinese girlfriends of people I know - they always grinning, even when ripping you off or having an argument with them

What's the dilio?

I personally have seen a few homeless people around my way, which aren't that messed up in the head. I would offer one of them a new start in a 3rd world country. The airfare might cost around $700, with the remaining money that person can live for $50-$100 a month in that country. I would arrange for that person a place to stay and help them find a job. Being an english speaking american, they will have an easier time finding a job, compared to the locals. He/she would start a new life, and make a pretty good salary according to that countries standard. It'll help them to regain their confidence as a working individual. (I know it'll probably be hard to convince a homeless person to go to another country, but it's an idea :p) What's yours?

Why was the God of Abraham so involved in the middle east ex. Jerusalem...ect. and not anywhere else? I mean there were people living in South America during the times of the Early Jews yet God did not pay any attention to them. There is evidence of so many other Gods being worshipped yet you would think that being the creator of the entire planet you would make yourself and your beliefs known all over the place and not let that happen thousands of years after your son dies. Also what about all the people living in China and places like that. And what about in Greece? how come they believed in Zeus and thoes Gods instead of what the Jews believed...I mean we are talking about the supposed CREATOR of everything here. How could the greeks even concieve thoes gods! Does this bother anyone else?

I have a 12 year old girl , yes she still believes. I honestly, love the innocence. I have been reading about the gal with the 9 yr old/ and 10 month. I was just crying over your answers. I believe she knows but just doesn't want to verbalize it. She asks me questions like Are you Santa? I have skirted the answer. I mean she was devasted about tooth fairy. So this will be even harder. I figured I would pull up the legend of Santa Claus and let her read that. She realizes Christmas is more than presents and we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. I have kept it alive as I see the magic in her eyes. We watched past Christmas morning videos and I try to remind her of that enchantment. With all that is bombarding kids today I guess I just want to hold on to this as long as I can.

If “god” shows him/her/itself to us than that alone doesn’t prove that Christians were right and everyone was wrong.

In order for the Christian faith to be true, than that”god” has to create and named Adam and Eve, Impregnated Mary, Jesus was the son of “god” or “god” himself.

Basically everything from the Bible has to show up when “god” shows up.

So why do Christians always use, god this and god that when the foundation of their beliefs is more focused on Jesus than “god” himself.

Remember “god” could be anything, but I highly doubt that he/she/it is the “god” from the bible, going beyond that I highly doubt he/she/it exist in the first place.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing everyone on these blasted little phones always chewing their ears off to everyone. Everywhere I go I see folks talking on phones (in the car, on a treadmill at the gym and even walking home from the bus stop). Not to mention the fact that our privacy is under attack with everyone being able to take pictures on them. Does anyone on this message board foresee people getting tired of mobile phones or having them become outdated with some other device that's less intrusive and annoying?
