I have a German penpal that I would like to send some gifts to. I wanted to send her something that is specific to America or to the New England (MA, VT, NH) area, more specifically. I already sent her some maple sugar candy and local postcards of the foliage this area of the US is known for as a fall present for her. Any ideas?

And only look for pleasure out of life?

Hedonism is not the only way to get by without religion, yknow. I can't speak for myself, but as for my atheist friends... they are all extremely intelligent, nice people. They're good to those around them and want to improve their lives for others, not just for themselves.

My grandma is 85, has dementia. Family can no longer take care of her due to everyone working. So today, she goes to the Dr who is going to put her in a nursing home to get the care she needs. My family is feeling guilty, sad, confused. My granny is unaware of what's going on but she's almost resorted back to a young child phase of life. Please pray for my family to be strong, and more importantly please pray for my granny Maynard for a calm spirit, and that she will be able to make this adjustment smoothly.
Do you have any suggestions to help me deal with this?

When did this tradition start? Who decided that red, green and gold are the colors of the holiday and why do people decorate their houses and lawns on this holiday and none other?

Quran 3:85 YUSUFALI: If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good). http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/003.q...

Ok, so a mother and father can never accept a son whose left Islam? Whew…wow, my mother still loves me, even though I left my religion. But in that culture, that’s exactly how it works out, isn’t it. Is this wrong, I mean, every fiber in our being knows it’s very wrong, be lets try to define this.

Why is it wrong? Could it be that we don’t think God is petty and vindictive and jealous and needs gimmicks to intimidate the sheeple from straying from the herd? What’s your opinion?

If this isnt intolerance at its very core, I dont know what is. Mind you, Im not even referring to the genocide jihad verses because the term "intolerance" is no subsitute for the concept of genocide.

This is a letter and goes like this...

"Thank you for your invitation that I have received today. I enjoy myself and accept the invitation, but I'm afraid because I don't know very well the people who are invited to the party. I would like to know if I have the possibility of bringing a friend, he is very kindly, charming boy. I know him since ten years. My problem is that I don't know if I must put on a dress could you tell me? At what time the party starts? Please not too late because I must come on feet and the party is so far the house. I'm looking forward to see you Saturday night."

I'm not sure if I've spotted the mistakes properly. THANK YOU!

I own a contractor referral service in Colorado Springs, CO. We are sponsoring a Christmas Blessings Program to bless a special family. We have selected the family and are prepared to move forward with organizing their blessing. The family resides in this area: we will be re-furnishing and renovating their home, starting a sholarship fund for their children, providing them with a new car (hopefully) and bringing them into the 21st Century with at least two new computers for the children. We need volunteers to help with the construction/renovation, etc. You may IM, email, or call us if you're interested.

This happens mainly by rappers etc. who can refer to White's as "crackers", "milk bottles", "white boys" etc. But when a white person refers to a black person using slang they are looked down upon and called racist? Especially when black people seem use these phrases between themselves.

It is a Wednesday, usually we have youth meetings, but our church made our pastor resign (which I am very upset about that) but on Wednesdays usually I just don't care what I wear because they don't care what you wear. So today I want to wear my boots over pant legs. They are pointed toe and they go about to the knee. Is that okay? This is a pent church.
