And only look for pleasure out of life?

Hedonism is not the only way to get by without religion, yknow. I can't speak for myself, but as for my atheist friends... they are all extremely intelligent, nice people. They're good to those around them and want to improve their lives for others, not just for themselves.

As Christians, the Lord has shown us our own sinfulness in comparison to His Holiness. He also tells us that ALL mankind is sinful and unworthy of Him. Fit in the flesh only for destruction.
He provides the Way for us to be reconciled to Himself.
You speak on behalf of your atheist friends- You say they are "nice" and "intelligent".
Okay, but does that meet the standard of God, which is sinless perfection?
No; it cannot!
It falls utterly short.
Sure, they may be "good" to those around them and want to improve their lives, not just for themselves, but for others well being too-
But what do they want to do for Almighty God?
Nothing!
For what do they give Him the glory He deserves?
Nothing!
Yet the Glory belongs to God alone.
In all things, He is glorified.

I stay in a divided christian society it really is impressive what some human beings say about each and every others beliefs or attitudes on condition that its all a similar god. Then there are the subdivisions i'd say that non secular/psychological health rests contained in the position of least divisions - So sure atheism rankings properly on no longer having to diss different atheists or perhaps human beings of religion for me it purely appears like a step sideways far flung from all that dissent and hostility- worry is the position I stay there is not any different educate on the city so quite somewhat on my own - very few out themselves as non believers inspite of the actuality that in the adventure that they are as its letting the aspect down .

Same reason some atheists assume religious people are self-righteous hypocrites. It's a prejudice towards a large group based on the actons of a few.

When I was an atheist, I got that alot - it was truly beyond the comprehension of some Christians that people could choose to be good solely for the reason that it's the right thing to do - with no outside rewards or punishments.

Indeed, the true act of goodness comes when one expects nothing at all in "reward."

Because some religious people are taught, from a very early age, that non-believers or people who believe in other gods are bad, bad, bad.

And, therein, is the root of most of the problems in the world today.

"Its because they are secretly jealous and want to be one of us!"

At least, had this question been the other way around, that would be the response from Christians....

Simply put, religion causes out-group hostility. It causes one to see those outside their faith as being less worthy than they are, less moral than they are and less righteous than they are. Which is another reason I hate religion.

I try to form my opinions by what I see here, but the atheists and pagans I know off line are very hedonistic. No one likes hearing that, but I have met the most theives, liars and "as long as I'm happy, who cares about anyone else's feelings' kind of people outside of my church. I know several people on line who are not like that, but off line, I know different people.

Slander feed to them by their preachers.

I went to church when I was young and heard a lot of slander about evolution, homosexuals and atheist.

Because they want to assume that. Thinking otherwise, throws doubt into their belief system.

After all, none of us can do the right thing without daddy telling us what to do.
