Okay music girl, first I thank for responding. I actually tried to make yours the best answer but the 4 hr thing isn't up yet. Maybe I still will pick yours. Criss Angel is amazing. I watch him every Wed,. night. He's a great illusionist. But if by chance he is doing more than illusions by some other power, it must be evil. His theme at the beginning of the show has an eerie feeling, the way he comes up out of the ground, the circle with the A in it kind looks like a pentagram, the fire, etc. Even his name. Criss is close to Christ. Angel means messenger of God. A metaphor? As amazing as Criss Angel is, he is not God. But are you saying Jesus was a great illusionist?About your other answer, Christianity does not slow progress. It is just not barbaric. The countries where christianity exists are generally much more advanced and civilized than where it doesn't exist. And human beings are treated with more respect. Thanks for responding. I respect your answers.

You are diverting each of my points. Not cool. Whatever you think, some satanists do use the pentagram as their symbol...ie. Anton LaVae. And the name thing; you totally missed the point about Criss Angel. That's not even his real name. He is greek and has a very greek name. I'm not saying he is evil. But you must be able to see his satanic innuendos and his references to Jesus Christ. You were right in saying the rest of my response had nothing to do with this question. And I stated that. I said I was referring to your response to a different question, which was the one about why atheist feel they need to make their points about the non-existance of God. Now...about that, you have a distorted view of christianity and it's effects. I'm talking about true christianity. Without it, places in the world have been suppressed and inhumane, ie. India, Russia, China, the Middle East, little places like that!.... And Eastern Europe....are you joking! Ever heard of Romania's Nicolae Ceausescu?

I hesitate to answer you, because last time you added a detail that conveyed to me that you only want answers that agree with you. It seems to me that you are just baiting.
But, I'll give it a shot anyway...
Perhaps he walked on water just like Criss Angel did.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBQLq2VmZcA
There's no evidence outside the Bible saying so that he did walk on water or that he healed anyone, though...
The Christian theological answer to how he did miracles was through the power of the Holy Spirit, which explains where it came from, but not how it worked.
Edit...
His name is Christopher. My name is Christy. Does that mean I am evil, too, then? C'mon, hon, let's try to be open to the ideas of others at least and not just label them as evil. Other religions think that YOU are evil for believing what you do.
A pentagram is a Pagan symbol, not a symbol of evil or Satan, no matter what your religion would have you think. Pagans do not worship or even believe in Satan.
And no, I'm not saying he was an illusionist. Just showing you how it can be done as illusion and is not necessarily a supernatural event.
The rest of your response has nothing to do with this question. I know you haven't been here long, though, so I'll respond at length this time...
Religion does indeed slow progress. Can you give me one good reason why In vitro fertilization (where embryos are made and then destroyed) is Ok and accepted by this country where there are a lot of Christians, and yet stem cell research on those embryos (and we're talking VERY early stage embryos) is not accepted?
Christianity does not make countries more advanced, more humane, etc... Countries that are predominantly Christian include -
South Africa (apartheid), All of South and Central America, all of the Carribbean (with the exception of Cuba, which just barely falls short of being mostly Christian) and most of the Sub-Saharan African countries. That's over three dozen countries, in just those two regions of the world. There's also Eastern Europe to be considered, as well as countries that do not have Christianity (like Japan) and yet manage to be civilized and successful.
So, what's the real differences between a country that is developed, humane, and civilized and one that continues to be poor, unadvanced, or inhumane?
Government and economy. The countries of the world that are richer, more advanced, and so on are so because they have governments and economical structures that have proven to be successful - democracies, capitalism, representative republics (like the US), and so on...
Incidentally, one thing that many of the more successful countries also have in common is that they have separation of church and state.

Jehovah God created Jesus first among all spirit creations. Jesus then helped his Father in creating the other angels, life on earth, and man. This is the reason why Jesus is called the only begotten Son, he was the only one created by God without help.
Colossians 1: 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him.
At Proverbs 8:22-31, he is represented as saying: “I came to be beside [the Creator] as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time.”
Because he is God's son, he is also called Mighty god, God the Father has given him the power (through the holy spirit) to do miracles....turn water to wine, walk on water, heal the sick, calm the storm and bring the dead back to life.

Because he is Lord and the one who spoke the world into being
He did many miraculous signs to show what He taught was true and He was from God
He is Lord over:
walking on water - gravity
water to wine - quality
wind and waves - weather
multiplying fish and loaves - quantity
healing the centurion's son - distance
helaing the lame - health
healing the blind - light of the world
raising the dead - life and death

how do you know that he did?
just because it says so in ONE book?
well, if he did, then he must have been a magician and an herbalist.
maybe he was standing in the shallow end or whoever wrote it down saw what they wanted to see or it was an illusion of perception. maybe he healed using certain plants and herbs, but the writers left that out.
or he was the son of god and that was what he was born to do.

Through the power given to Him by the Father. With His Word all of creation was made, If He can make us by saying so, I am sure He can heal us doing less than that.
Some people think He walked on water on a thin piece of ice. Maybe but the boat the disciples were on would have ran into a little of it if that were true.

Because He is Jesus! We of course cant do those sort of things, thats why we call the things He did, Miracles of Christ. I wish He were on Earth today, just Imagine how awesome that would be. He is in Heaven and still answers prayers, that leave us in shock and awe. He is still the same Jesus who healed back then. We just have to ask and believe.

Doesnt that question answer itself.
A mortal man cant do those things, it must come from some other power. Think about it.

Through God all things are possible. And Peter, by believing in Christ, was able to walk on water too, until his faith faltered.
