i just watched a documentary last night about certain gospels wwere removed from the bible and that it proves that the bible was alterd. and they had a good point. if it actualy were adam and eve in the beginning then we must have been the product of major rampant incest and we would all be brother and sister. however in the bible it says that among other things incest is a sin. the gospel were found in a cave in 1947 they were scriptures that looked like they were exiled. what do you guys think?????

My view - yes, of course. It is a biological fact. But some of you on here seem to have very troubling views on the matter, and I have to ask, how are we NOT animals?
Do you not have bodily functions?
Muscles? Organs?
Can you not get diseases and health problems?

And God creating man above animals is not proof - could he not have created man above OTHER animals?

I was just curious what your responses to this is. This pretty much summarizes the BIGGEST hurdle to me believing in the Bible. Namely, the contradiction of the two accounts. If you could explain this to me, I will be a lot closer to accepting Christianity.

I think it can to a degree. I'm broke and majorly stressed because of it. We can't seem to ever get caught up. A big lottery jackpot would relieve alot of that stress and also enable me to help others which I think is an excellent way to start feeling good about yourself. I don't think it can solve all my problems but it would be a major step in the right direction. What do you think?

Hello everone!!
I always believed that dreams have meanings, not all but most of them are far more than just thoughts and memories...
Today while sitting at my desk a co-worker approached me and said that last night he had a dream that i was getting married, and my wedding was being held in a huge church and there were so many people there (over 300) of all ages, at day time, It was a large event with drums beating loudly and music;
Now... i was always told that when some one dreamed of some one getting married it means a death is close by, particulary a person that the bride or groom in the dream knows? what is your opinion on this subject, could it mean something else?
The reason i ask is because about an hour after my co-worker told me the dream,my mother called and said the father of a good of mine died and the viewing is tonight.

I am just asking, because I notice how people talk, and it aggravates me. People who are just "hungry" say they are "starving". When people go out to eat, they say they "need" this, and that. Children say they "need" the most up to date items. I mean, as far as "starving", unless you look like Nicole Richie, or a concentration camp survivor, I would say you were just hungry. As far as "needing" that combo meal, I would say, you would like to have that more than you needed it. And as far as children "needing" the best, they "need" to learn values. Everyone wants to have what they want, when they want it, and if they can't in 3 seconds, it's "Let me talk to your supervisor." I know when I go out to eat, if they screw up my order, I don't make a big deal, usually I tell them it's okay, especially if they had a bad day. I tend to stick with what I need, than what I want. And my child knows when I say 1 toy, I mean 1 toy, so she can change her mind 10 times, but know I mean 1 toy.

I (probably among many) was totally socked to find that some schools here (UK) have used creationist resources in science lessons, against the current syllabus. Creationism is a religious idea, not a scientific one, for me. UK students HAVE to study Religious Ethics until GCSEs, so they will already know about creationism - why bring it into the science class?

Creationism is clearly also something that would require more evidence than evolution - for example, you are posulating that things have just come into existence pretty much as they are (vs. evolution - gradually) and THEN you are also postulating that there is a designer. Creationism has less proof because of this. There is no scientific evidence for God, OR for all things coming into existence as they are (note I say 'all,' some ferns and obviously crocodiles etc have lasted aaaages.) Whereas evolution - even if it isn't totally proven, does not also require another scientific proof (God) in order to be true.
Any thoughts?
