It's a beautiful religion and culture rich in history and tradition. The art of Islam is absolutely beautiful. Every religion has its bad eggs and unfortunately Islam is under a microscope right now. Check out the source link for lots of info, including the section 'Challenging Hate.'

And, I would prefer Islam over Christianity any day of the week. Islam is much closer to my religion-there is no G-d but G-d.

As far as Islamic culture goes-----there is not Islamic culture. Islam includes people of many races, from different lands with different customs, and like Christianity, there are those who are fundamentalists and those who are liberal. Muslims come from many different cultures.

I'm Christian, married to a Muslim. My biological father was a black Muslim (the teachings are different than those born in a Muslim country practicing the teachings of Islam). My brother (from that father) and his wife became black Muslims as well.

My husband definitely has shown me what I've learned about Muslims from television and other journalistic exploitations. I don't deny that some of those stories in the other countries are false, but I no longer believe that all Muslims are "haters" and seek to destroy every country. I think that we should definitely give those who are not like that a chance, as the ones that are so militant do not represent that entire mass of religious followers of that belief.
