why is it that many caribbean people show so much disrespect to people of african origins.... they use terms such as "boboo" when refering to african people.....i swear down these people are beggining to forget where their ancestors originate from.can anyone out there please confirm why they show soooooo much disrespect.....kmt

I don't think it's just an Island thing...BLk americans accuse africans of the same treatment/harshness remarks about them...and so on and so on.

The sad thing about it is that we are all connected former brothers-sisters-mothers-fathers...that let an outsider" Lynch" steal away our love/pride and respect for one another.

My roots go back to The islands on my mother side and Africa on my grandfathers side...me an american born girl - loves all of my Black People - no matter where ya from!!!!!!!!!!!

uhh my friends don't disrespect me and most of them are from the islands. But i do understand what you mean. I think many cultures have names that we may call another culture and they may find it disrespectful for ex. i used to find it its uncomfortable for myself to be referred as a "yankee" but thats what they call us lol. I just know that i'm a human lol not a yankee and i don't take offense to it anymore.
