HAHA final year on Christmas my son substitute into 11 months previous yet he were strolling for 3 months and alter into into each thing yet miraculously he did not touch a difficulty on the tree till christmas Eve as quickly as I rotated and observed him pulling off a pitcher bulb! I in basic terms advised him no and thank goodness he in basic terms left it on my own. This year whether has already been a various tale, thankfully, I had long previous and offered ALL shatterproof bulbs, icicles and such. the only difficulty breakable is the finial topper and our "particular" adorns which I hung severe up the place he can not attain. I advised him "all of those snowmen are yours, those are the only ones you could touch" and that has labored so a good distance. he's 22 months nonetheless so a sprint older than your toddler. i could propose a gate blockading the room, a gate each and each of ways around the tree if that may not obtainable, time outs every time he touches the tree. additionally, while you're frightened approximately it falling it can be a competent thought to place 2 hooks interior the wall or ceiling then you definately tie fishing line around the suitable of the tree and tie it onto the two hooks, you could not see the line and it if with the aid of twist of fate he knocks it over it won't fall on him. solid success!

A few days ago there was the same question about a kitten....
No, seriously, to be on the safe side, never let your child unguarded in the room with the christmas tree.
I'm sorry to read that many in the community have not yet heard, that a child should NEVER be beaten. Please understand that a child has no way to see why the grown ups are "planting" a tree in the house, which is standing not as firm as the trees outside.

I have a 2 (almost 3) year old. Since he was born, we have made sure to tie back the tree. I used clear, heavy test weight fishing line. I put two eye hooks into the window sill and tied it back so it wouldnt fall. I also dont put any good ornaments or old ornaments near the bottom where he can pull them off, for fear of broken peices or lead poisoning. If you have a real tree you have to watch for the needles which can be a choking hazard.
Hope this helps.

Well he/she is very curious. But I always told my children NO! quite harshly. This may make the child cry because he thinks you are mad. Also it never hurt my kids to have thier hands slapped only resort to spanking when they try putting something from tree into thier mouth. This is dangerous and they need to learn this quickly so a good spanking helps though you may have to do this several times. Anyway try to stick to slapping hands and saying no. Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!! Do not worry it will all work out in the end.

You are the parent...your child is obviously the child...kids aren't stupid. If you know how to be a parent this shouldn't be that hard...you just have to let them know that it isn't ok for them to do that. Punish them and show them who's boss. You should be supervising your 1 year old at all times, so you should be able to keep them away from the tree.

try putting big empty boxes around it, or put a baby gate to the entrance to the room it's in when no one is in there
