Something in between the two. I am conscious that I don't always know for sure if they need to know what I think they need to know.
Also, if I feel it is really important to communicate something that will be hard for them to take, I start out with things that will be more agreeable to them. People need a little sugar too!

I figure if they want to hear it whyzat??? and move on from there. Sometimes a person needs to hear somethings so they can gather strength to be good or make progress or to lead or in general to exist with more energy. In those cases I minister to them until they get strong and then I slap um in the face with the truth. Maybe just give um a li'l slap on the booty with some truth whatever I think will divert their direction in a more positive and rewarding direction.

I try to be as honest and straightforward as possible. but I am NOT going to tell my mom how big she looks in that dress... People close to me, or one's who are already in emotional stress, I will TRY to sugar coat it. I have a hard time doing that though, as I come across as sarcastic anyway.
Your pic is fine!!! I guess people will complain about anything.

I definately say what they NEED TO KNOW. I do not sugar coat the truth- I say it for what is is- the raw truth- which brings gladness to me! But to many it is a stench....however it is the truth and nothing will change it- and many need to know the truth of Jesus Christ!

NO. I never tell people what they want to know or what I think they want to hear "BUT" I do GUIDE them spiritually to seek their answer from Scripture and through prayer, if you tell them what they want to know without Scripture then it is not from God and if you tell them what they want to hear it may not be the right answer then they can become dependent and some end up attention seekers, even Christian believers, and that is misleading in it`s self, by doing it this way it helps those who do seek to see the answer for themselves, you are just guiding them in the right direction.

I'm no good at sugar coating. It actually doesn't work out well for me in business, but I guess the business benefits.

I tell people what they want to hear. I have a friend who likes this girl, but she does not want a boyfriend right now, but I still tell hi, that he has a shot with her. I think that I do not want him to be hurt by the honest truth.

Well, (Try this on,adding sugar) I tell people what's on my mind (adding more suger.) You know? I'm not smart enough to lie. Or lie enough to be smart at it.
Talk to ex for examples.
My first sugar coat.

I tell people what God tells me to tell them. I tell them about salvation through their accepting Jesus as their personal Savior.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
