If the universe is young and it takes millions of years for light to get to us from many stars, how can we see them? Did God create light in transit? Was the speed of light faster in the past? Does this have anything to do with the big bang? I'm a young-earth believer too, but I'm confused by that.

My main problem with this word is firstly, Africans and Black Americans do not look a like, at all. Secondly, the majority of the "African Americans" are not even from Africa. I mean, MAYBE their ANCESTORS were from Africa, like five hundred years ago, but that is just pretty stupid if you think about it. It is like someone claiming to be Mexican all because their great, great, great, great, great Grandmother was from Mexico. How come this does not apply to anyone else, but "African Americans" in America?

I have been doing Holiday shopping latley and have run into my fair share of women passing by in stores....on a few occasions I have passed a group of women in their early twenties and they said to me "no, game" as I passed by them. I can only think this because I did not make eye contact with them/had no interest.... Am I supposed to smile and greet every stranger (woman) I pass by in the parking lot nowadays and stare at her even though I will never see/meet her again....? Whats up with this? Other time they will clear their throat several times until I at least look in their direction like I have to acknowledge them/give them attention. I am a realist and right now I am not looking for a relationship and not interested in patronizing strangers who Illl never meet again/do not plan on meeting again who just want some attention.

Seems there is an old bad word in town....n i g g e r.
Are people that insecure to hear the word? Every news story that points to the issue is afraid to put it in print and on screen....if they do.....there is a serious warning.
Kids these days use more profane words to describe women, gays and other races...yet this one word is almost the death sentence for anyone to utter it.
The "Kramer Guy" used it and it seems the world just came to an end...I have heard black comedians and singers use the word in worse derogatory terms than what had happened.
Do you agree that the "N" word issue has been overly used to claim a racist world and do you think it's ok for blacks to use the word....and if it's ok for other races to mock others?

I was in this perfectly rectangular hole in the ground and I could see the sky above me, but I couldn't get to it. There was something slick and black like gasoline that coated that walls of the pit and it made me slip whenever I tried to climb out. The walls were also so incredibly smooth that I couldn't get out even if the slippery material wasn't on the walls. I was in the pit with 2 or 3 other people, so I knew this was only a small part of hell that I was trapped in, and there were flames burning up as high as my chest in there. Luckily, I didn't feel any pain or burns, but I still tried desperately to get out because something about the fire was soo terrible that my body seemed to fear it. Though I didn't suffer from the heat of the flames, the other people in the pit were screaming and passing through the flames at times, I saw their faces, with painful expressions. The shock of the burning temperature brought their bodies to the point of convulsions. This was real. No joke.

that the religious hypocrites from Biblical times did? I hear people all the time making claims that if only Jesus were to show Himself to them they would instantly beleive. There were swarms of people who were around to see Jesus back when He was alive and even most of them en including some who had been behind Him) ended up betraying him, so how much difference will there really be when He comes back?
