Sorry mate.... there is no way either gender can ever understand the other. You can learn the rules, codes and rituals but you won't ever understand them.

Sometimes I think the genders are soooo different its a miracle we can breed!

Actually thats the joy of building a relationship because that is the only way you can ever begin to understand another (either gender).

Nobody really knows the answer to that, because everyone sees it from their own gender's viewpoint. I think both genders feel misunderstood and underestimated by the other and it's probably an individual thing who feels more misunderstood than others. It's not necessarily about which group one belongs in.

I kinda think that men r misunderstood more than women because they r not that apt at communication and expression...women however do tend to THINK more that they r misunderstood by the opposite sex...well we r all misunderstood people...btw I am Female don't mistake the gender...

men are logical and practical, and feel more misunderstood by women,
women are so tied up in their relationship-politics thinking and one-track mind, all or nothing, possessive or dismissive, to understand men
A man cannot reason with a woman; by default, women misunderstand men.

im sure its fairly equal, no one feels anyone understands them well enough, thats why the book men are from mars women are from venus was written, lots of our emotions are based on chemicals running through our systems and we see the events in a very different way.
