It depends on how involved the babysitter would be with the child. If the babysitter is more mature, a good role model, and active with the child, then a higher compensation would be best. If the babysitter is younger, not as experienced, then I honestly wouldn't leave my child with them. Minimum should be $5/hr with a minimum base of $10 for the first two hours. Anything after 10pm should be time and a half or at least a dollar or two bump/hr.

It really depends on how old and experienced that babysitter is and how active your child will be. But I would say if it is a young girl in her teens, pay her around 6 dollars an hour. If it is someone older, an adult or neighbor, pay them 7 or 8. Or try to find a family member who would do it for free. :)

Well, it depends how bad you want their 3 year old. Do they love it? Plus, consider how much money they have already put into raising it. Just the insurance cost of having the baby in the hopsitable can be tremendous, plus while they are getting you a 3 year old, they cannot baby sit, thus taking away from their usual earnings. Consider carefully, you probably won't be able to give it back.

I would think a factor would be the age of a babysitter and how many children they had in their care. The older, more experienced sitter would charge a lot more than a teenager would. I would think between 6.50 and $9.00 an hour.

Hi blondie, If you have a family member that can watch your 3 year old, then I would suggest that. However, if you have to "hire" someone from the outside...I would make sure it was "someone" that you trust. Also, ask for "references"! There are "too many" questionable/variables when it comes to the care of "our" children. BE SAFE! XOXO Moonpie FYI...You didn't mention the "time frame"?

well if it were me babysitting, i wouldn't do it if it was under 7/8$ an hour....i would say go from about 7-10$ because it is a 3 year old and they aren't completely toilet trained, and need a lot of assistance.

I would say $4 - $5 per hour. Probably $5.
