More people than just this Jesus have died for the whole world. Yeah, I would like it if everyone loved one another and got along too. But just wishing it won't make it happen. What will make terrorists stop bombing and countries stop fighting is if everyone on Earth got the resources they needed, and if people were responsible enough not to take more than they need. The reason this hasn't happened is primarily political. I think with how much we know about agriculture now, supplying enough for everyone would be no problem if the world got along and worked together to make it happen.
There are exceptions to this... First, violence related to grudges. That sort of thing is a pointless cycle, not really a failure of countries or politics. Second, irresponsible people who really don't give a damn about anything and just hurt other people for no good reason.

Someone did die for everyone on earth. His name is Jesus Christ. In the Bible in John 3:16, it says, "God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son. Everyone who believes in Him will not die (referring to the soul, not the physical body) but will have life eternal."
People on earth will never make for a loving world. There are many similarities, but there are also many differences. Those differences mean that a loving world isn't possible here on earth.
