There are a lot of wiccan/pagan shops every where do a search and you will find one or more in your area. They will have every thing you will need and classes to attend. Decent book stores new or used will have a new age section fill with books form the basic to the advanced on a number of topics. I would suggest getting a herb book to look up what the use for a herb is, handy. I also have a book on minerals, handy. Hope you find your path. Ps. yahoo has a group that might help you out too.

The best way to begin in Wicca is to study it. Research and learn what Wicca is and what it is not. If after doing that you feel that it is the right path for you then you can begin practical study.

There is a web site that I highly recommend that has a lot of information about Wicca as well as an excellent forum:

www.wicca.com

Blessings on your journey.

As someone else suggested, books are a good way to start. Another is to check out "the Witches Voice" on the internet -- also known as witchvox they have a state by state breakdown of open circle, covens, book stores, classes etc. that may be of some real help. Also, check with your local Unitarian Universalist Society, they are a society open to all different spiritualities, and you will often find wiccans or pagans or both among their memberships. Some UU churches even have pagan groups that are sponsored by the church with open meetings, rituals, etc.

Before beginning wicca ,you should research MULTIPLE pagan traditions as there are many ,and wicca is in many respects a newcomer and still incomplete my greatest influence has probably come from an author on Green Witchcraft (herbal magic)named Ann Moura Craft Name (aoumiel). She has a whole line of green witchcraft books,"Green WitchCraft 1",@,etc. Oh and to the christians who are spouting a bunch of "portal to hell" crap,Have you ever tried magick? What do you know about it?I mean besides what you 've seen on t.v.? Or heard from your preacher ,who knows as little about it (or anything else)as you do?I doubt you know anything, yes, the beings we work with are real, yes, magick is not for dabblers, and yes it's not to be taken lightly. But we neither acknowledge nor except your god OR your devil. We don't believe in your heaven OR your hell!

This feels like a communique you will possibly desire to be having with your instructor. clarify the kind you experience with reference to the capacity of memorization and in line with threat s/he might clarify why that's significant to memorize. If the activity feels too complicated and discouraging, in line with threat s/he can replace the classes to healthful your desires greater effective. in case you have an activity in working with magick quicker then in line with threat s/he can practice you ways to artwork on coming up those skills in a manner that's good on your point of recognize-how and journey. in the adventure that your instructor isn't attracted on your enter, desires or questions, then confident, you have the incorrect instructor, yet once you communicate on your instructor approximately your concerns and s/he can practice you ways to come returned up with a manner that suits your studying sort, then s/he's worth sticking with. when I did my "year and an afternoon" I studied on my very own and centred especially on the 8 Sabbats. As an eclectic without specific course (and not being Wiccan) i'm able to inform you that there is fee in memorization and greater importantly, in writing down your stories... I in no way bothered to memorize plenty and that i infrequently ever wrote something down... I wish I had. That suggested, so a approaches as incenses and herbs, i do no longer see the project with looking issues up or independantly coming to my very own conclusions approximately what's suitable, yet that's my very own technique and while you're studying a particular custom interior of Wicca, then confident, those information might nicely be greater significant than i recognize. The discipline of memorization is additionally an workout in disciplining the recommendations, as nicely, so there my be greater to learn by memorizing then only being waiting to call up the main appropriate herb or incense once you prefer it... that's like working a muscle which you will prefer later. wish that facilitates, advantages, -Scarlet

Howdy there

Wicca is a doorway into the demonic realm, It is a real and active practice invloving real spiritual entities and characters. Not very friendly ones, although this may appear fun at first.

Wicca has some benefits to the user, or so it would initially appear, but its a very powerful abyss that is VERY difficult to get out of if you ever choose to back up.

The fruits of wiccan practice often form into an increase of depression, strong mood swings, excessive nightmares, fear, anxiety and increased anger, and sometimes increased desire of suicide.

If your angry at a person you know, and want to put a curse on them, the curse can backfire onto you 3 fold! ouch.

Its not pretty.

Demons are VERY REAL, and hate people with a passion, that includes you.

Some of my Friends have been into this and it has destroyed their lives in one way or another.

The bible clearly warns against Wiccan and pagan practices, not because God wants to boss us around, but because he knows that this spiritual practice will destroy our precious soul.

Wicca is cancer for the soul, im not sure if you have already had a bad life or whatever friend, but this will only prove to make it worse in the end. Please reconsider opening the this type of doorway.

In saying that, a few wiccan people i know are very nice people, but i see that they are dark and lost

If you are seeking identity, spiritual power and acceptance then look to Jesus, not religion but Jesus.

Find a strong bible believing Christian that you can trust and talk with them.

Hope this helps, thanks for the question
