I will give you the true definition. Science is the manipulation of two natural forces. Man cannot create or give life to. To create is to use your own "original" material to construct an entity. No man has "created" the materials he is working with. He has only manipulated ,already-present, original materials into another form. Man cannot bring "life" into dead matter. Man can manipulate forces to "move" but not to "will". Artificial intelligence has no will power and this is scientific fact. Science is a "tool" and not "God". Science is based on man's mind. We know no man is flawless. Science can be depended on as much as you trust your own-self. Even though I put no trust in myself , personally. Do not make the grave mistake of making science more than a "tool".

Only 2 members are consistentantly active if you count me.

I've tried delegating, allowing members to volunteer for assignments, picking partners for them to work along with, allowing members to pick partners or work alone, suggestion meetings in which everyone is free to talk ... EVERYTHING!

The members' hearts are in the right place, but when I have volunteers for certain tasks; 95% of the time they never follow through. HQ has even assigned tasks for our group (of about 35), same results.

Help! I'm exhausted!

I got the idea for this question from watching a local political debate... Your guest list for a dinner party should conform to the following (and can include non-living people from the past)

2 religious figures
2 scientists
2 political figures
2 criminals
2 celebrities (e.g. writers, actors, composers, etc.)

So who would make your list?
And why?

I can understand wanting to be like an isol, but why Hitler? shouldnt they be smart enough to know that, however smart HItler really was(pretty smart!), he had huge flaws like wanting to take the world over without stealth, economic leverage, and all at once.

Last week I went to a GSA meeting at another college. My college's GSA went to their meeting just to kind of meet new people and get some ideas. I noticed that most of the girls were studs. I myself am one. They were all black because we go to HBCU's. Anyway, why don't the studs go for other studs? I sucks because alot of those girls are really attractive. I don't want to change the way I dress so how would I get with one of them and why is it like that?

Almost everyone that I know personally (Shreveport) is a funtional drug addict. I am not glorifying it, but there really are SO MANY!! I know a bank manager that is adicted to Oxycontin, I know a registered nurse that smokes like Snoop Dogg. I know a construction foreman that is addicted to Xanex. The list goes on and on. I dispatch 18 wheelers and I smoke before work and at lunch. All of these people are well dressed and well rounded and they hide their addictions to anyone in their "day" lives. My question is, do you know a lot of people like this or are you even aware of how many young, college grads, are on serious drugs?

I'm in my classroom at college and sitting next to this guy, I like he has a green bag (similar to mine) It's packed full of notebooks and one of the notebooks has hearts and smily faces on it. Also written on it is a phone number. I'm about to ask if I can have it then I wake up. the only numbers I can remeber are 792.

As a continuation of those two questions, I noticed a lot of interesting answers about doing it not for oneself but for another. So let's look at this.

Say this madman comes into your house, cuts your electricity and phone line and you don't have a cell phone or anything to fight back with. But instead of pressing the gun to your head, it is pressed to someone else's head. He poses the same question to you, but if you disagree, he will shoot the other person. If you agree, he will shoot you and let them go. If you disagree, he will NOT shoot you. Please answer all parts of this.

How would you respond if the person is:
a) your child?
b) your parent?
c) another family member?
d) your friend?
e) your enemy?
f) a total stranger you've never met?

(Jesus) said to them (his disciples)again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."

Obviously we don't as patients have a say, the question is probably more "academic/hypothetical";

I'd prefer an Evolutionist, but obviously if a Creationist can heal me I guess it would be hard to object.
