Only 2 members are consistentantly active if you count me.

I've tried delegating, allowing members to volunteer for assignments, picking partners for them to work along with, allowing members to pick partners or work alone, suggestion meetings in which everyone is free to talk ... EVERYTHING!

The members' hearts are in the right place, but when I have volunteers for certain tasks; 95% of the time they never follow through. HQ has even assigned tasks for our group (of about 35), same results.

Help! I'm exhausted!

I'd like to know the answer to this question as well.

I have a student-run humanitarian organization at my school that I created this year. I know that they want to make a difference, but it's the making part that's getting them. It's like they just can't do anything without me going up to them and personally delegating a specific task to them.

Find out what each individual is good at and enjoys doing and then delegate the jobs accordingly. Have regular meetings to find out where everyone is at with their particular task. Even though they are volunteers they need to know that they are appreciated. Very important. Maybe delegate jobs and change up every couple of weeks or so to give everyone a chance at something different. Good luck, I have run volunteer groups at both a domestic violence agency and Hospice program. I guess, I was very blessed and really never had any issues. Sorry, you are having such. Good luck and God bless.

hang in there hun!

that's what its like with volunteer groups,
I'm thinking of starting a Black Panther party at my university ( well okay a chapter) and I might have a hard time getting others to commit but it takes PATIENCE, remember this is your dream not there's so you have to see it thought.
Do you have a partner to help out, they could help you share the burden.

I've had that issue before. My heart was in the right place but I could not do what I needed to do right away. Pick them members strenghts and what they can do , that's a huge incentive!

Best of luck sista!
and please , dont ever let me hear you use the N word again.
It not empowering to us!

bless ya!
