pople think that they should be given special opportunites jsutbecase they were treated wrong for many years. but you dont see the same thng being done for all of the other races and groups who are having ar has had to deal with the same thing. isnt that strange?

Apparently you've never been offered a job at $20,000 less than what a male colleague was offered just because you're female and must work for less or not work at all. Other races and groups are receiving the same type of treatment. I worked for IBM for many years. Because they had federal contracts they had to track equal opportunity etc. They actively recruited from many minority groups -- disabled, hispanic, asian, female, aged etc.
Strangely one of the few minority groups that doesn't need this protection is white male homosexuals. Because they're male, they still make much more money than lesbians (or hetero females).

Some people do resort to a double standard of women (in modern culture) being special compared to men, because the opposite existed previously...
But just giving a job to a woman as fast as a man would be all I would try to do, or feel compelled to do (that isn't already done)
