Why do African Americans constantly tear ourselves down?

Letting stereotypes define your race and character without the needed knowledge of our past.
Stereotypes of ignorance, poverty, and violence
But instead of us rejecting the offensive façade put onto our skin
We accept it
Make it true
Being “black” means
Intelligence lost
Violent success gained
And respect for each other thrown away
We groan and moan about how we can’t overcome
Yet we oppress our own who speak with clarity and intellect
Ridicule and harassment are baggage that are placed upon them.
Rejection has no mercy on their confidence, on their mission
Trying to convince them not to be successful at all
“Stop acting white”
Oreo is one of the encouraging names given to them
Instead of encouraging this new age of integrity and strength, of those trying to bring us out of oppession
Instead of respecting those with the knowledge and loyalty to our culture to carry on
We make role models out of those who disrespect our culture, murder our brothers and sisters, and own women whose self-respect has disappeared along with their clothing
Possessing the thought that our skin can be rubbed off with
a few words of a different dialect
a stitch of a different style
a beat of a different rhythm
Being African American has been slowly dissappering
Because of those who haven’t even thought about what their own African ancestors have worked, cried, bled and prayed for
Because their too busy watching the latest video
American is added to our name with a sense of overlooked FREEDOM of self.
Instead of being African American
We are Black.

my mom is a christian, and she is putting SO much pressure on me to become one too. i am a free spirited kind of girl and i feel like the bible is one big book of rules telling me what i can and cant do. i don't think i'm ready to be a christian but i don't want to let her down, what do you guys think i should do?

in my country we did something wrong we were gonna get it and that staraigned our asses i am from stlucia so i know what its like but when i come to canada and i see no one is hitting there kid and the kid gets to do what he wants that grounding **** dosent work the kids will still misbehave when my grand dad gave me a slap on the bottom i kne not to steal anymore if he grounded me i would just look at him and not even respect him, i am not talking about physically abuseing your kid to the point where he is dead all i am talking about is giving him a smack on the bottom

My husband is away on right now, because of his job and he found out that dates (the fruit) are not readily available where he's at in Virginia, so I was thinking about ordering some from online for him, as a gift. Does anyone know of any good, reputable websites to buy dates (the fruit) from? But I don't need a lot, just a small amount, just enough to last through Ramadan. Thank you all so much! What are the corresponding emotions, adjectives, creatures etc. that go with each of the quarters:
East - Air - Silts
South - Fire - Salamanders
West - Water - Undines
North - Earth - Dryads

I think those are right but have trouble remembering them and all the details of each. All suggestions/list greatly appreciated!

the gospel means the good news-death burrial and resurrection for salvation from sins--Revelation 3vs 19&20 Jesus speaks from heaven saying, I love you unconditionaly, I stand at your heart door and knock to come in and deliver from sin, and be your friend."

so i prayed-pray with me if u desire the best miracle-Jesus im sorry for my sins, come in & help me, be my friend, amen-let it be!

vs 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was recieved up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of the Father.

vs 20 The went forth, and preached eery where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen

When ever a prominent Black, Jew, Asian or Latino speaks it is taken for granted that he is speaking with the particular interests of his ethnic group at heart. No one would call Jessie Jackson a racist when he speaks out for the interests of blacks. Only whites are held to a higher standard where they are expected to disregard the interests of white people and be concerned with the good of all people regardless of race.

My best friend recently told me he was gay, however, he has never been with another man. Now a week later he asked me if he could practice giving me head, so he's better for when he gets a boyfriend. Now, I'm gay, but he's been my best friend for a long time, and I had always done anything I could to help him out. Question for all you transgender people that work as your true gender.
I am about to go though transition, and I am now out of work my old boss sacked me
Looking for work has been a bit hard as I am not sure what I want to do anymore (workwise) I am a TQ Chef but am looking for something differant possibly cleaning offices or something like that.
My question is what do other TG/TS do for work and is there any problems I should look out for during transition work wise.
I plan to go back to cooking after i am setteled in my new gender role and I see this as my time to start of fresh and live the way I should have many years ago,
