Depends how old you are really. What is humorous and great at 19 is kind of stale at 23 and definitely NOT cool by mid-late 20s.

Also another key factor is whether he was with his family/woman during dinner and who was in attendance and how long you've known him. A little drunkenness among old pals is okay, but if you're 30+ and haven't known him long & say rude things in front of his girlfriend and then pass out on his/their couch, yeah they might take issues with that.

Definitely improper! That would be someone I'd think twice about inviting over to dinner again, until they were clean and sober. I wouldn't give up on them as a friend. I would probably have a private conversation with them about their behavior and try to determine if they had a drinking problem. If so, I'd try to get them to go for help.

heck yes! when you drunk, you don't control what you sayin and what you doin. it's really bad to be drunk at a friend's house while you were invited for dinner. If I was the friend i would never invite that kind of person again!

Were you drunk BEFORE you came to dinner, or got drunk THERE because they were serving you? I guess both are rude, but if you were already drunk before you got there, you better do some kissing up, or lay low for awhile.

it depends on how good a friend they are to you. if it was your best friends house who you have known for a long time then dont worry about it. otherwise maybe it was improper. just depends

Yes, it is.

It kind of lack respect towards the person who invited you. They might think twice the next ime the invite you (or whom ever you are talking about). It's ok to be tipsy, don't get me wrong, just know where to stop, that's all.

Your friend was probably happy when you passed out and overjoyed when you staggered out the front door.
Don't try holding your breath until you get invited back there again.

No it's cool. If you throw up on the host it's a bonus. It's those extra special touches that make you a good friend.
