If so, what are they?

Although the Buddha didn't place any definite dietary restrictions on his followers, he did advise against eating the flesh of animals specifically slaughtered for food.

As a student of the Buddha, I personally am vegetarian out of my interpretation of the First Precept (against killing), Right Livelihood (The Buddha advised against taking any part in the business of animals for food. I feel this applies also to being a consumer), and his advice as stated in the first paragraph.

Hope this helps.

Peace...

There are many branches of Buddhism. Some of the branches stress vegetarianism and others have no restrictions on diet.
