Kyle has been my best friend since as long as I can remember. Yesterday I slept over his house and we slept in the same bed since the blow up mattress was broken. When I woke up in the morning, I was lying on my side and Kyle was directly behind me with his arm across me. It felt really good and I put my arm around his back and went back to sleep. Kyle woke me up later and we never said anything about it. I'm feeling very wierd about this whole thing. I've never felt like this about a boy before and probably wouldn't have reacted the same way had it been a different boy. Is this gay or is this a normal thing?

Just wondering about this because I've seen a lot of Goths wearing crosses. Many people keep saying that Goths worship "the Devil" because they wear black and so on and so forth. I don't really believe in "God "and I'm Goth but I don't worship the "Devil". When I wear crosses, like on earings or a necklace, people are always saying crap like "How dare you disgrace our lord and savior!?" and stuff like that. What's the deal?

Pope Benedict has managed to antagonise two major world faiths within a few months.

He quoted a 14th-century Byzantine emperor's insult of the Prophet Mohammed.

He gave a long address at the site of the former concentration camp and failed to mention anti-semitism, and offered no apology - whether on behalf of his own country, Germany, or on behalf of the Catholic Church. In fact he managed to argue in a long theological exposition that the real victims of the Holocaust were God and Christianity.

This is a man who has long been famous for his bruising, ruthless condemnation of those he disagrees with.

This is a man with little sympathy or imagination for other religious faiths. Famously, the then Cardinal Ratzinger once referred to Buddhism as a form of masturbation for the mind.

If the Catholic church is to make a dramatic break with its triumphalist, bigoted past and is to contribute in any constructive way to an increasingly educated faithful, is this man up to it?

God created the universe but the laws of physics predicts that at the beginning of the universe there was nothing rational. Nothing outside and since there was noting outside where was god? Inside? But if you answer is "inside" explain why?

Because as far as I know the laws of physics make no sense at all inside when the universe exploited at that point. Or in other words God could not have been inside either.

Where was God? Where scientist call it singularity?

Why is it that the Jews have Hanukkah, Passover, and Yom Kippur on the list, and African Americans have Kwanzaa on the list, and all the Christians have all their holidays on the list, but we Pagans always get grouped in the "other" category? And please, no answers from Pagan bashers. There's no need to show me how compassionate and non-judgmental your religion is by telling me that I'm on the fast track to Hell, thank you.

I am assuming that their will be like minded people there. The thing is I have lived in this town for 3 years and have barely made any friends, not due to lack of trying, its a very conservative town, and very very judgemental. Do you think it would be appropriate for me to try and meet some new people, and try to maybe forge some friendships while there. Obviously after the work is done, or before it starts, not while we are working. I am just going nutso with no new friends to talk and hang out with.

the "US" can stand for United States or us, being a first plural pronoun, since im american.
