Kyle has been my best friend since as long as I can remember. Yesterday I slept over his house and we slept in the same bed since the blow up mattress was broken. When I woke up in the morning, I was lying on my side and Kyle was directly behind me with his arm across me. It felt really good and I put my arm around his back and went back to sleep. Kyle woke me up later and we never said anything about it. I'm feeling very wierd about this whole thing. I've never felt like this about a boy before and probably wouldn't have reacted the same way had it been a different boy. Is this gay or is this a normal thing?

Only you know how you feel about him.
p.s - your comment, "is this gay or a normal thing?" implies that being gay is NOT normal.
It is, and if you are gay, you need not be worried about it.

When people sleep, they have a prefered position. Maybe Kyle prefered to cuddle a pillow and he must have mistaken you for his pillow. But Kyle is actually out of the question. YOU should be asking yourself if you're gay or not because you felt something for Kyle. Just to let you know, being gay isn't wrong or bad. But it takes a lot of courage to be one. That's why they call it Pride parade because they are proud for accepting and standing up for who they are.

Maybe you were just comfortable with him. A lot of dudes wouldn't even sleep in the same bed because they'd be uncomfortable with the concept, even if one had to sleep on the floor. So you guys are just cool with closeness. I don't think it means much.

You're comfortable and feel safe with your best friend. I'm sure you even love him. Don't sweat it. In itself, the experience does not at all mean you are gay.

Just be honest about your feelings. I don't think it should be the ONLY indicator to if you are gay, or not... maybe you are, maybe you are not... give it time. Yes, it's normal, yes, it could be gay, yes, maybe you are not gay and just close... only you know.
