the fact that you can think, as opposed to believing concepts un-tested for validity, with blind faith? Or what you actually think? i.e., Your beliefs may differ but you have actually thought about the belief and adopted it instead of someone told you, supposedly someone in a position of authority (clergy, politicians, media or worse still, the check lane at the supermarket)and you believe it simply because they said it to be true. So what is better, what to think or to think for yourself?

Even Jesus drank wine. Where in the Bible does it say excess means a single drop? What's the idea behind making laws that forbid other people from buying drinks?

ok i know some people are going to call me stereotypical here but im really not. i mean just think about it, if atheists cant even believe in something more to life than just what they see, why would they believe theres even a reason to care about other people? i mean to them its all over soon so whats the point of joy on earth to them? there is none for them. i know that i have met a couple atheists and all of them have been not especially friendly people. maybe its because theyre angry at theirselves for not being able to see more than just science. im pretty sure kim jong il is running an atheist state. he seems pretty pissed off. what do you think?

If I was God, I'd show up and let the people I created know I exist. That way, there wouldn't be any fighting between believers and non believers.

Without proof of my existence, people might try and control one another using my name. I wouldn't want any of my creation controlled.

Successful African American Men do not belong to Black Women any more than they belong to anyone else, so why do Black Women say that White Women are taking their good men? As an African American guy, I decided that I wanted to be part of the productive part of society an not just another embarrassing statistic. I have a professional career and do not have any children. Therefore, I don’t owe anyone anything. But why do Black Women act as if I owe them something? Why don’t they claim the African American Men who are not as fortunate as myself but instead very often look down on them, but when guys such as myself reject them, they can’t seem to take it as easily as they dish it out. I’ve watched how the so-called educated Black Women rudely turn down some of my Black Male friends and other guys who are not as fortunate as myself and they seem to have no class or respect, even to the nice ones. But I have more than those so-called educated Black Women(guaranteed), so I feel that they are below my standard...and aside from that, Black Women do not own the successful African American Men who date White, Asian, Latin or any other culture of women - we do not claim them, so they should not be so desperate to claim us. I see Black Women to be the most desperate and selfish because they don’t see how rude they are to reject guys who they don’t want, but when the guys they want reject them, they act desperately by calling us every name in the book - that’s just desperation. Some people are quick to pity Black Women who are rejected by the successful African American men and say that we are generalizing, but I think they should start giving that advise to Black Women who generalize. They are the ones always complaining about being rejected for White and other cultures of women. What a psychotic double standard.

It's so easy now to voice our opinions -- click a few times, type a few works, and voila! We've just judged a fellow human being in the snarkiest, most critical way possible. Or maybe just slammed them with pure, hateful venom. But we don't really know them and we've never met them, but that doesn't stop us from putting our blistering critique of that person out there for all to read.

Is this what we've become? Did the Internet make us this way?

Or have we always been this mean, this judgemental, this vile, and the Internet is just communicating our true, ugly thoughts for the very first time?

Are we much more polite in real life? Are we just anonymously venting some pent-up frustration at easy targets?

Is there a way to bring some civility to the Internet without removing the fun and humor?

I don't understand how anti-abortion are saying that they can't afford to adopt children or they had their own. Yet many of these people have their own chioldren. They choose to have sex and produce children when there are so many in need. Is this not hypocritical?

God was heavily involved early on. He led the people out of Egypt, aided the people in battles, etc. Christians believe he even came to earth as jesus. Where is he now? Why isn't he helping us out now? Does he hate us? Why doesn't he perform plagues or floods now to help us?

I always try to respect, and try to make feel a woman as a lady,make them laugh, have a good time. I can talk about all subjects with them, also I think that my cultural level is high. But when I take a look around they are dating whit men that all I can say is, WHAT ? whit that man? look at him. them my conclusion is: I gotta be doing and saying something really stupid to provoke that negative reaction in girls. I"m latin, 31 and had dated really beautiful women before. But after I broke up whit my girl friend a year ago I have no luck to get another relation and my self steem is having a vacation in hell right now. please help me. I don't know what to do and I feel so depress and miserable.

im going on a excusion there as part of a cruise & someone told me there is a dress code for getting in but is that just on the evenings when all the posh folk come out to play poker / roulette etc?

Why must religious fanatics constantly tell us to convert, to believe in God/Jesus etc etc. Do you think that I or other non believers are miserable? You can't blame us for thinking that *some* of you are brainwashed when all us non believers ever hear is "Jesus will save you" "Look to God for help" yada yada yada.

I have many religious friends and NOT ONCE have any of them tried to "make me see the way". What makes you think that I / we will listen to a STRANGER tell us what to believe in?? Who do you think you are? Do you guys have a tally card to see who has converted the most? You think God will pay attention to that... Doesn't he "teach" accept others for who they are????

Ever wonder that when you bite the dust - and (if) God exist - he asks you "Why on Earth were you forcing your beliefs on others when all I wanted was for you to love and accept one another for who they are!"

((I'm not attacking I'm just rather fed up with this Mightier-Than-Thou attidude))
