This is a short summary to answer your question. It would take a long period of time and study with you to answer your question in full. The answers are in Scripture. God revealed himself to Moses as recorded in the book of Exodus. God also used the unbelieving idol worshiper, Pharoah according to His purposes. God revealed himself to Egypt, the nations and to the Hebrew people as the powerful and authoritative God, Soverign, Absolute, and Infinte. God was sitting aside unto Himself as His people as the "IAM". When God led the people out of Egypt in the book of Exodus, God was sitting aside a people unto Himself that all the nations would know was His people. The people of Egypt, the Hebrews agreed to make a covenant of with God known as the Old Covenant which Scripture shows that these people broke their Covenant with God many times. The people first broke the covenant before Moses arrived back down from the mountain with part of the covenant carved on the stone tablets by making a gold god to worship. God knew that the people would break the covenant time and time again. God used plagues, floods in helping to set a people unto Himself and get them out of Egypt and to show the other Nations that these Hebrews were His people and to show His power as God. God also used plagues and the idol worshiping nations aganist these Hebrews as a result of their breaking the covenant and turning away from Him. These people that God was setting aside unto Himself would be the lineage of Mary, the mother of Jesus, would come from and would be the lineage of David. Jesus would come to this earth in the form of a baby being God as man come to this earth to be the sinless, unblemished sacrifical lamb to go to the Cross for the redemption of sin and for the forming of the New Covenant made between Jesus, the son and God, the Father which could not be broken as man had no part in forming the New Covenant. The world was judged at the Cross. The New Covenant abolished the Old Covenant, Scripture says. Jesus said that He would not lose one that the Father gives Him. Read Ephesians Chapter 1 and 2. One who is in Christ, their spirit is joined to the Spirit of Jesus and Jesus can not forsake one in Him if He wanted to, as it say it 1 Cor that our spirit is glued to His spirit. The Greek word for 'glue' is 'joined'. Jesus reigns today and we are under the 'Law of Christ' today. God is Soverign, Absolute and Infinte and is the only authority and is in complete control of all things. God moves and works today and resides in 'Heaven', where Jesus, the Christ sits on His right hand. When Jesus returns to collect the souls of those in Him that God has given Jesus and restored to a relationship with Himself, those souls will be presented to God and the reign of Jesus ends. Study the Book of Exodus and the following books regarding the Hebrews and the Old Covenant terms including the book of Joshua. The Old Testament shows the character of God and His Absolutes, His Sovereignity, and Infinteness. The New Testament speaks of Jesus and the New Covenant and the free gift of Salvation, by God's free Grace and of the Holy Spirit. Read the Gospel of John and eyewitness of Jesus and the events. The Book of Revelation is the revealing of Jesus, the Christ. Study God's word. God is the Word and the Word is God and the Word was made flesh. (Jesus). One would really have to study the book of Exodus, and so forth to really really get the whole picture. One in Christ in whom the Holy Spirit resides, will open up the Scriptures and give understanding.

sigh. I so tire of answering this pointless question again and again, day after day. Of course God is still here. God appeared a lot during the Old Testament because His son had not come to Earth yet. This symbolizes the Father. Then His Son came, and people were led by him and his example. Now we are led by the Holy Spirit. Yet all of these are the same person, God. Its sort of like how water can turn into ice or steam. We obviously can't see Him. But we can see Him work...EVERYWHERE. He's the one who allowed that couple's car to break down right in front of a church. He's the one who made sure you got to work late so that you wouldn't be involved in that car crash. Yet you never know. You never see. Because the Lord wants us to believe without having to see. And once we have faith, miracles happen a whole lot more.

He Does Help Us Christians, but You must be a Christian to know the true works of God..I hate how the world tries to deny God today, Yet they still say "If He was real, He'd be helping". If You'd trust in Him, And dedicate your life to Him, He would help. He Helps me Every day of My Life! He's in Heaven now, Just as he always was....And Just in case you're wondering, The Rapture is coming soon, and Jesus is Coming back..So I Suggest Everyone Be Ready! God Loves You and Is Very Much Real, Never Doubt that. God Bless You!

the Bible is true. God is on the throne in heaven, defeating the enemies of God and making them a footstool for Jesus. read Psalms 110.
Jesus is coming to take His people to be with Him forever. then the antichrist will rule the world. then again Jesus will rule the world for a 1000 years.

Look around you. It seems that the whole world has turned it's back on God. He is right here just like he always has been, the world just stopped listening to him. His children know his voice and follow him. He still performs miracles everyday for those who believe in him. And I hate to tell you but plagues and floods don't help us, they hurt us. You should try praying and really listening for what God would have you do. God said if we would turn back to him he would heal our land. God never left us we left him. God Bless You.

First of all, stop reading the Bible. You don't need a man-written book to see evidence of a Creator. Just look around. Some time in the future there will be passages in the bible about when God picked up the ocean and dropped it on New Orleans!

God works in different ways, for different people at different times. At the time of the Exodus and the formation of the Jewish nation, they had no written revelation of God and who He is. That is why He worked in that way, at that time, to reveal Himself to His people. They would have no other way of knowing Him.
Jesus performed His miracles to reveal His divinity to a people who would have no other way of knowing this. We now have the Scriptures, the written history of the Jewish nation and the direct revelation of God. We need nothing else. God is still on the throne, and being omnipresent and not bound by time and space, He is here, and throughout the universe.

When Jesus Came to Earth, GOD gave All authority to Jesus. Now HE is in Heaven (His Home). He still aids us, and is ALWAYS there for us. Just He is in Heaven now, but will come back soon to rule.

The Bible IS true - no ifs and or buts.
God is near and He is waiting with open arms for you to turn to Him.
He is performing wonders right this moment but your eyes are blinded by the things of this world.
Read God's Word from Genesis to Revelation to find out what God's plan is. I believe you will find it to be the best thing you ever do in your entire life!
