Air is real, you can't see it but you can touch it, measure it,prove it's real...etc
It is not something supernatural
It is composed of matter.
But you can't see,touch,measure...etc God.You can't prove he is real. And this makes all non-theists feel doubt about God's existence
So theists please, stop saying: You can't see air but you know it exists, like God..

In the movie, The Life of Brian, at one point Brian says, "You don't need to follow me. You don't need to follow anybody. You're all different! You are all individuals!"

Everyone in the crowd mouthed "We are all different! We are all individuals!" except for one old man who piped out "I'm not!"

A few months ago, my sister Colleen lost her 10 y/o daughter Anne to leukemia. It has been such a tragedy for our family. Well, Colleen hasn't been able to let go of Anne's body because she's so devastated.

She's been keeping her body in the meat freezer in their garage. We think it may be time for Colleen to let go. It's just tearing her apart. We had dinner at her house last night and the porkchops just didn't taste right.

Me and my other sisters were wondering if there is a taxidermist in Ohio (Akron area) who can stuff and mount Anne's body for display. Colleen's birthday will be coming up in September and we think it would make a wonderful gift to be able to keep Anne's memory alive in an appropriate way.

We'll want to display Anne in the living room next to the family portraits posed in a jumprope scene, mid-jump (jumprope was her favorite game). We'd run a wire through the middle of the jumprope to create the illusion. Do you think this would cost extra?

A friend of mine died of AIDS. At the funeral, i overheard some of his religious and christian family commenting about how the disease that killed him was God's way of "punishing all those queers and homosexuals." They said he deserved it and this just proves how merciful God is.

So, a couple of months ago I finally left my abusive husband after many years in a marriage that was complete hell. I just thank God for waking me up and reminding me of who I was and who he made me to be.

Now my husband is angry that I left him and have a restraining order against him. He thinks it has to be because I am cheating on him. Not the case. I was faithful to him even before I knew him. He still wants to punish me and is telling everyone we know, friends, family, people at church, our own children, all about how I am having an affair, how I broke his heart, etc. Then he says he loves me and wants me back, but every chance he gets he is threatening and intimidating me. He has said so many things about me to so many people, I just feel like I have no where to turn.

Well, I do know I can turn to God. I'm going to keep on praying. I am also going to head up north and go quadding on the beach for a couple of days. Maybe some fun is all that I really need. ???

Praying to Jesus and Mary and other saints defeats the purpose of having a mono-theistic religion. Having Jesus and Mary on the prayer list along with God sort of defeats the purpose of christianity. NO? I think so, let me hear your thoughts.

Why are people lacking in such basic courtesy as to ignore someone's desire to pass them on the highway? Why do people go below, or even at, the speed limit in the left lane? That is possibly my biggest pet peeve with stupid drivers. Why don't these people realize that the left lane is for passing? It's for faster drivers so either get out of that lane or speed up.

Ok...I'm done ranting against stupid people on the road for now.

Do you try and understand the concept of some of the Letters of the Bible? I honor and read my Bible, don't get me wrong but I do not worship it. I do try to understand the context of it.
Example
Corinthians and Head covering
I recently learned that women in Corinth who followed 'pagan' faiths shaved their heads and that this is the main reason they were told to cover their heads.

In a world that favors go getters, why is it such common practice to hear oh God has a plan and it'll work out. I find it to be utterly ridiculous to rely so heavily on such a sketchy ideal. If something goes awry in your life, do something about it, don't just sit there and think someone/something you've never met has a plan for you. That's my thoughts, why do you believe?
