Heavenly Father, we come before you to ask for a miracle for Cloeen. Lord you know her situation better than her doctors and we know that you are able to regulate her pressure better than a pill or anything man made. Place you hand over your child and my your healing touch heal her. Lord we ask this in the Precious name of Jesus...To you we give all the praise and the glory...AMEN

I will be praying for you dear. Prayer does change things. However, I would also like to add that you should be looking into making lifestyle changes also. Exercise and diet can eliminate the need for prescription drugs. I am going through the very same thing right now. My blood pressure is high and I'm not overweight and not even thirty yet. I've been put on a low salt diet (less than 1000mg a day). You have no idea how difficult that is until you've tried it. Basically you have to cut out all prepared foods. There's a web site that you can get nutrition info and track your daily intake for free. It's www.sparkpeople.com . You can go on there and sign up and then set up a page to track the food you eat and then personalize it to track sodium intake too. It's a little time consuming to set up, but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. God bless you as you learn to walk in divine health.

Anxiety may cause an elevated blood pressure reading but it most definitely does not cause hypertension. Hypertension is a disease not simply an elevated blood pressure reading. Present thinking is that there is approximately a 10 year lead in time of pathophysiologic change before your blood pressure is consistently elevated. It is believed that the primary flaw is endothelial cell (the cells which line arteries) dysfunction although this is far from proven. Anxiety and hypertension however may have something in common. The locus cereleus in the brain stores most of the body's norepinephrine which is an adrenaline type substance. Anxiety disorders and panic attacks are thought to be caused by inappropriate release of norepinephrine. Blood pressure medications generally do not reduce anxiety. You mentioned beta blockers. Although these blunt adrenergic tone they typically do not reduce anxiety. Anxiety does not cause high blood pressure and high blood pressure does not cause anxiety. Both must be diagnosed and treated seperately. If I may be of further assistance please let me know. I wish you the very best of health and in all things may God bless.

I will pray for you. You will also need to improve your diet and exercise more in order to improve this by the time you have your next doctors appointment. Even if you go outside and walk for 15 minutes per day for a week or so, then build up to 20 then 30. You can do it! Best of luck to you. Have a good day!!

Count me in..the worse thing you can do is fret over high blood pressure. I am surprised that your doctor did not do a pregnancy test if this is the case in the past. Maybe that is something you should check out so you can calm down and help your meds work! You are on my prayer list..good luck!

Take care of yourself...rely more on doing what you need to do to get your blood pressure and sugar down, take meds, eat right, etc...than on prayer...

What you do will have more effect than all the prayers and well wishes in the world...

You are in my prayers. most of the answers here are good. The correct message is; "GOD helps her who helps herself" Follow the doctor's advice, diet advice, exercise advice, start slowly, and pray. If you wish contact me at www.internationalhealers.org.

As a scientist working in a cancer center, prayer will not automatically fix health problems. You need actual exercise and proper diet to fix this problem.
