If I was God, I'd show up and let the people I created know I exist. That way, there wouldn't be any fighting between believers and non believers.

Without proof of my existence, people might try and control one another using my name. I wouldn't want any of my creation controlled.

What would you do if you were God, even if it was just for one day?

If I had the power to be a creator, one thing I'd definitely do, is shut up all the religious idiots who are trying to speak on my behalf. However, as that is not happening in reality, then take it as some excellent proof that God does not exist.

I don’t think there is much doubt today that all religions are just mystical cults with their clever magic tricks conjured up to awe inspire their believers and followers. Take the Christian mythological cult for example. God is supposed to have created the universe, incarnated (magic trick) himself as Jesus and written the Bible.

But today God is totally silent. The only thing we hear about God comes from people speaking on his behalf, namely cult leaders and followers, most of whom are lunatics and war mongers. If God genuinely existed, he would silence these people because they are an absolute embarrassment. Just check out some religious idiots who post on YA.

When you listen to these idiots trying to justify God’s love and existence, it takes very little commonsense to realise how imaginary God is. If God were real, he would speak for himself. The fact that God does not speak, and that he allows any lunatic who comes along to speak in his name, proves that God is imaginary.

If all you religious people who try to mentally saturation bomb gullible minds could see how stupid and embarrassing you are to the intellectual mind, perhaps you’d stop making fools of yourselves.

If you were God, maybe you would come down and do a few magic tricks or whatever, what makes you think any more people would believe?? God has made himself evident- He has provided plenty of proof yet people still don't believe.
As for me, I won't even make assumption of what I would do if I were God, I am glad I am not . It's like uneducated people who are sure they would do a much better job if they were president. They have no idea, the education and understanding of things the president has, how much work it took to get where he is and then they want to simplify all of his decisions. They have no idea the things he is presented with every day and how one decision affects another and so forth- they have not a clue about half of what is going on in the world yet they know exactly what they would do.

I like your idea. You know if we were given knowledge of the truth of the creator that would change things drastically. I never have been able to figure out why we've all been kept in the dark on that.

The sad thing is that we are given evidence of His existence all around us. Look at the beauty of creation and tell me that God does not exist. Look into the face of a newborn child and tell me that there is no God. We have the evidence....it's just that we refuse to see it because we would rather believe that we were some cosmic accident....or maybe it's because we want to believe that we are the superior being in the universe. Either way...we have the evidence and we walk right by it everyday and refuse to acknowledge it.

If I were God for a day....

I wouldn't want to be God for a day because I am way too impatient and the results would devastating. I thank God that He is patient and kind and loving and compassionate. He gives all the chance to come to Him and believe...if we turn our backs on that then we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Philosophy says we can't even really prove we exist, that maybe we are merely the figment of another's imagination, or that are life is a hallucination and we are only semiconscious and floating in space somewhere, so what would be the point of God proving himself? There are always doubts and doubters.

And for Brenda: if a person was talking (allegedly) wisely or profoundly in Swahili, would you say that it cannot be wise simply because you cannot understand the message? That decision should be made only if you understand what the speaker is saying. We should not judge what we don't understand.

Wow. I'd probably run around desperately trying to fix all the previous God's mistakes.

Then, light would dawn and I'd realise that the God who made this universe was clearly so staggeringly incompetent and so desirous of causing suffering that I would go back to the drawing board and start again with new plans.

Being omniscient, all this would be complete instantaneously.

Then I would go about creating a new perfect universe, which I would also do instantaneously, since I would be omnipotent.

Then I'd twiddle my thumbs and play solitaire for the rest of the day...

If I were God I would have one of my servants write this answer.

Prove you exist.

Now I will try once again to explain it to ya.
look at any object on your desk. Was it created? How do you know? How would you explain the object to someone else if you were trying to prove it was not created. Do you think it might go something like this. "You see Millions and Millions of years ago there was this stuff"
People will believe anything as long as it's not in the Bible.

Thats what I would do. :)
(((God bless you)))

Well, God *did* show up one day, and in essence, said, "Look everyone, I'm here!". And they killed Him for it.

I really don't blame Him for not wanting to go through that twice.

If God allowed me uber-coolness (not God-like... I would not ask that of Him... Moses-like, yes... Christ-like, yes... completely God-like, no... that's just *too* much power), I'd keep doing the bread-and-fish miracle the whole day. At the end of the day, I'd say to the food, go, and give yourselves to the poor and the hungry around the world, and let it be known that the Lord is God.

I'd go to the Middle East and do something really decisive that would make them all calm down and stop fighting over me! And I'd inform anyone oppressing women in my name that they're *wrong* and need to stop it!

In my 360, I have a quote from Sinead O'Connor: "If I were God, I would be suing a lot of people for libel."

I'd probably come down to earth and say:

guys...wtf are you doing?

Here I am, now stop this religious battles. There will not be 72 virgins waiting for you if you blow yourself up to kill 12 people. There will not be eternal hellfire waiting for you unless you did something very bad. As for your organized religion, my showing myself should help you all decide which religion is right, and it will be the new one. The Southpaw religion. Write it down. Now you all know what to practice, so I better not hear any disagreements anymore or I will have to come down here and smite you.

Peace.
