1. Turn off the computer immediately so you no longer have to look at that filth.
2. Get a pop-up blocker. You probably already have one in your browser, but you can get one with the Yahoo! Toolbar as well.
3. Clean spyware off of your computer regularly. I like the product called "Spybot S&D", and it's free.
4. Do not look at pornography. Many people will tell you that it is harmless, but they are wrong. It is addictive and it can cause major problems for you emotionally and financially. Stay away from it like you would the plague. If you are already sucked in, get professional help.
5. Consider the possibility that someone who has used your computer was using it to look at pornography, and that's why you got the pop-up. Perhaps a member of your family has already been caught in this terrible web. If so, get professional help for that person.
6. Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) offer filtering services. You can consider signing up for one of those.
