In around 1913 a Russian Battelship paid a friendly visit to Monaco. It anchored in the bay. The captain and some of his crew lost a bit at the tables, and was refused any more credit. Look at my ship in the bay they said, and the ship had all its guns pointing to the Casino. They were given credit. So, go dressed as a sailor.

I've only been to the Monte Carlo casino in Las Vegas, so that doesn't really help i know, but I've heard of that one.

People do tend to dress up especially in the evenings in Monaco regardless of the casino you go to or whatever you're doing! My advice would be to dress to impress anyways. That way it'll feel more of a special day/evening out rather than just going to a regular casino, besides you're on holiday you got to give a bit of extra effort!

It was quite a few years ago that i went but yeah there is a dress code for the main casino....that is smart wear, no jeans, trainers or sports gear, collars for guys etc...but there is another casino which is a bit more relaxed. It could have all changed now i went in 2000, and if i remember rightly i was 20 at the time and asked to leave the main casino for not being over 21!

Yes. It's very smart, and even if there wasn't a dress code, which there is, you would want to look your best. Outside it is a car showroom of Astons Ferraris etc, inside a parade of 'real' designer and top end cloths. By the way, good luck- break the bank !!!
But of this is not your scene, there are other casinos there, in hotels, and all along the coast in France also.

Yes. The dress code is casual but dressy in the day and at night, evening dress and jewelry . Enjoy it.
