I just found out last night that my husband is an atheist. We have been together for 15 years and he finally told me. I knew that he was hiding something but he wouldn't come out with it. We were both raised as Christians but neither of us are now. I am Pagan.

I've never really understood the concept of Santa Claus. He was a man who lived a long time ago. Why does he even fit in with the Christian religion? I've always thought that I would tell my kids the truth, that there is no Santa, but whenever I tell someone this, they gasp and act as if I just committed a murder. Anyways, so, what are your reasons for telling or not telling your kids about Santa?

Atheists cannot say with absolute certainty (and they know it) that there is no God because they haven't been everywhere and seen everything but yet God-fearing masses across the world are suppose to look foolish because we believe. How foolish is it for you tell me whats in the box when you have never opened it yourself. Athesim is a religion and very poor one at that. A religion that would only attract men in search of power and greed for themselves. The man who is secure in his own hands is either God himself or severly delusional of how powerless he really is. Even our President looks to a Higher Power. Is our national leader an idiot too. Is the face of the most powerful nation of the modern world, cluless too? Just because God doesnt bend to your will, you throw a temper-fit and decide you dont believe anymore. But see thats okay because you may not believe in God but God surely believes in you.

I have friends who are Asian, Black, White and 1 really cool mate who`s Chinese, Irish; Spanish; Welsh and too many more to name. (and blondes and brunettes before anyone comments on earlier questions)! They, like me love a good joke.

Do you think it gives people an excuse to cry racist too easily?
( I`m not saying racism doesn`t exist, unfortunately it does)!!

The bible says that " Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh".

On the other hand it also says "Honor thy father and thy mother"

So on hand we're supposed to get married, dump our parents, and shut them out of our lives, and on the other hand we're supposed to honor them?
