Funny thing about the Holy Bible is it says "be ye perfect" and "be ye also merciful"; notably as perfect & merciful as your Father in heaven(higher than the heavens) is perfect & merciful.
It also says at the throne of "grace" only "mercy" is "obtain"-able; thereby peace assured rather than division. In comparison & contrast at a throne of "law worketh wrath" only accusation & condemnation of law imputed sin, bloodshed & sacrifice(slaughter) are obtainable; thereby "destruction".
As for God(Grace), his stated will is: "I will have mercy(grace), and not sacrifice(law)"; noting "the only true God" of false/true Gods never desired nor ever took pleasure in sacrifice for sin, which is by the law & of the law: Ps 40:6: Ps 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7; Heb 10:all. So the "not" part of "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice" is not then, not now, not ever. For by the evidence it is "evident" that "no man is justified by the law in the sight of God(Grace)", not even Jesus of JC.
