aged 7 - Being dragged to see our huge family in Jamaica for ten weeks with all of my brothers and sisters - awe inspiring moment by my mother there.

aged 17 - being a sixth form student (I had spent my earlier teenage years in an insular clique) I became free willed, mad and fiercely independent making friends with anyone and everyone, whoever they were, then organising wicked and lurid sixth form parties in nightclubs with the teachers invited too! The scandals emitting from those nights were superb!

aged 23 - living in Belgium as an x-pat! Conclusion. chocolate, steak and living the life of an semi-innocent abroad is an experience that will re-define everything you thought you were.

Almost onto the list was
Aged 19 - Part time job in the cinema during the summer at university - working with fellow doss worthy students who couldn't care less about the job other than to have a laugh and watch the movies, unfortunately waterworld was on at the time

Whats yours?

Am sure there were lots of special years in my childhood but don't really remember them that well!

19: my second year at uni when I really started to enjoy it, got into the whole uni social thing which I didn't do in my first year cos was too shocked by the change from school to uni. I really started to enjoy my course and made some great friends

22: What a great year! Graduated from uni, went travelling for two months around Oz and then moved to Spain for a job (am still here now!)

26: Became a home owner and despite the crippling mortgage am very proud to be able to call this space my own. Also went on a sponsored charity trek with Scope to Guatemala, which was an amazing experience, not just for the physical challenge but also for the sense of achievement at having dedicated time to raise money to help other people. Now, I suppose in my 40s. I'll give you a quote spoken by Benjamin Disraeli, a long time ago. He said:

"Youth is a blunder,
Manhood a struggle,
Old age a regret."

Sorry, doesn't answer your question but it seemed appropriate!
