When I was nineteen I went to Mexico with Catholic missionaries. We were nine of us, young men trying to know if the vocation of priesthood or brotherhood was for us.

In the mountains of northern Michoacan, very close to Guanajuato, we went to a village where a priest put us up at the rectory, the house back of and next to the church.

One day we attended a harvest feast. A farmer offered me a glass of strong liquor which I accepted along with the delicious pig's feet stew.

That night, before I fell asleep, I was listening to the crickets sing, the mosquitos whine, when I suddenly perceived a black humanoid shape hovering over me. I knew it was the Devil. He was trying to suck my soul out from my nose while the others slept. I was so very scared, petrified. I tried to call out, but could say nothing. Then I made a supreme effort and tried to call out "Jesus, Joseph, and Mary!" All that came out was a squeak, but this dissolved the black spectre. I was drenched with a cold sweat. The others were still sleeping, someone snored in the guest room.

I an a paranormal investigator and I was out with the rest of my group the other night on a road that has been full of stories and experiences. I can give you a list of that experience and some others to help.

Paranormal Journal For Home

July 20-25th 1-3 a.m.
I have been experiencing what I believe are residual hauntings. I have seen
shadows cross doorways, I have also heard music almost every night. Usually it sounds much like ballroom
music and one night it sounded more like old country music. Not to be confused with country western
but classic country.
July 26th, 5:30 a.m.
I was walking to the bathroom when I caught my reflection in the bathroom mirror
and saw my eyes glowing with brilliant white light larger than my eyes. I was shocked and stood
stationary for quite a few seconds and it stayed the whole time I watched. There was minimal light
in the house also. A thin strip of light was coming from the Library but that was the only real light
in the house. I tried to recreate this shortly after with no success, it had already gone away. Earlier today both Michael
and I heard what sounded like a door shut. He looked into the hall and believed maybe it was my dog,
Zeus though Zeus cannot shut doors. Not from the outside of the door.

July 28th, 2006
Joe and I were in bed and I saw a shadow move over the bed. The shadow covered the entire bed. I asked Joe if his guardian was around because I could not sense him. Although I cannot always. But as usual he has been pretty respectful of disappearing during times like that ever since he scared me half to death. I closed my eyes and saw giant eyes with what looked like blue eyeshadow and long lashes. Not sure if it was my imagination. A few minutes later I felt a powerful and painful shock to my spinal cord even though I had not moved at all to cause it. I cannot explain it. It brought tears to my eyes. After a few minutes it receded and to my suprise my senses seemed largely hightened. I cannot explain how a shock to the spinal cord can happen like that or after the senses hightening to improved dimensions. Maybe there is an explanation as to the senses such as a shock induced it. My spine is still a bit tender now a few days later but not bad. I should get it checked out but how do explain something like that to a Dr. without him thinking you are nuts? I cannot be sure if the synapses fired in the brain to cause this hightening and will not be sure unless I speak with a Dr about it. Maybe in a day or to or with some research I can get some clue.

August 3rd, 2006 2 a.m.
We went to investigate Bethel cemetery outside of Edwards. Eyewitnesses only. No equipment. After spending over an hour looking for this place we got there to realize it was worth it. Orange glowing light you hear about sometimes is actually a solar light next to a headstone in the back of the cemetery. Actual unexplained events were as follows:
Out of the group of 5 three of us heard a boy child cry and one said she heard him cry. A few of us heard him scream though it was faint. We saw quite a few shadows while we were there and there are no houses around for it to be kids playing outside. Many of us actually started getting poked and pains that were unexplained. We all saw a tiny creature probably about 2 ft tall, running around the parked vehicle. A few of them only saw the shadow but a couple of us saw it to be a grey color with what looked like pointed ears. Maybe it was an animal that we are not aware of. We plan to go back with extra batteries and equipment. Tommy experienced sharp knee pains. Once a shoulder pain upon leaving.

August 7th, 1-215 a.m.
We went out to investigate Cherry Tree Lane again. It was a pretty slow night. We did see a few things. I also took out a 39 exposure throw-away kodak camera and emptied the roll out there. I have to get it developed. I also need to get a 35 mm camera for regular pictures. Planning on getting that and a digital with at least 4.1 MP. I took photos of the signs and any thing we saw I tried to capture as soon as possible. It was 800 film. Wanted 1000 but that one had no flash. Does not work at night but it is suppose to have less blur. We were driving slow though so hopefully that will not be much of a problem. At one point I smelled like burning mugwort maybe. It smelled a little bitter but also with some sweetness to it. Maybe it was more than one thing burning. It started to give me a headache though. Tommy also started getting a headache as mine was getting worse pretty close to the white fence. I drove into the drive of that house with the colorchanging candle. I took a few photos and hopefully something will turn up in them. Tommy's new GF Mary went with us this time. It was her first time out on an investigation. We saw some people out in the woods and I distinctly heard a womans voice though what it said was impossible to decifer. Completly inaudible. The 4x4 Blazer followed us again out there. They also turned out there lights. Then after about 2-5 miles they turned them on again and followed us with the lights on. I would like to know how they can drive at 1-2 in the morning with no lights on. During the time just before they turned on their lights again Tommy saw a man with a large blade glimmer in his flashlight and it was similar to a catana. We decided to leave at that point. I did get quite a few picks and even some of the sign that says "watch we u" and they eye. I had a very bad feeling when I took that picture of the eye and the sign lite up though that was probably due to the flash. Also I saw as we were driving away from the signs some one cross in front of it but I was not quick enough with my camera so I didn't even stop to take the picture, but in hindsight I realize I should have because if it was carporeal then they would have taken a quite a few seconds to hide again. The conditions for the night were as follows; 79 degrees but it feels like 81.

There was only one point in the road that we could see a very dense fog and that was at the red gate were we heard voices and footfalls and some other strange probably animal sounds as well as a tink tink sound like metal hitting metal. Further investigation recommended. I did not even see the shadow tonight that looks like large wings over the house though I did think I saw someone walk in front of the windows a few times tonight. We passed everyplace twice. Should do a daytime exploration to try to find the alter that Tommy and Lisa saw out there. Possibly another night when it is very likely to be many people out there. We still fully believe that it is satanist though we have no new evidence on what that growl came from. Thats all for tonight.
